I just want to preface this by saying that I will create a support ticket, I've just been trying to fix this for like 5 hours and I can't deal with it right now. I wanted to see if anyone else has this problem and maybe even figure out a solution or cause.
Earlier today I had absolutely no problems playing. At some point the servers started lagging and I was getting stuck at the "creating squad" screen in the menu after finishing a match so I decided to restart the game. When I started it back up, it just froze my whole PC so I had to reset it from the button. Since then I haven't been able to start up the Vulkan version of Siege at all. From the moment I start it, my whole PC starts lagging even though according to task manager my CPU is at around 30%. The Steam Client Bootstrapper takes up to 80% RAM and 90% disk usage constantly and the RainbowSix.exe process closes, but Steam still displays the game as running for a while. The "Bootstrapper" continues spending an enormous amount of RAM and disk usage until I stop the process itself.
I had a similar issue in the last season where the Vulkan client of the game just closed after the optimizing shaders screen. Back then I was running windows 7 but after doing a clean install of windows 10 I didn't have any problems until this afternoon.
I've tried verifying the game files, repairing SteamService.exe, clearing Steam download cache, reinstalling Steam, checking for malware, running "sfc /scannow" to repair system files (and probably a few more things but I can't remember right now). I'll try reinstalling the whole game during the night but I'm not very hopeful.

Somehow managed to start up the game by deleting C: > Users > (user name) > AppData > Local > Ubisoft Game Launcher and closing Steam from task manager after it starts the game process. It took around 15 minutes just to start the game but it's a start, I guess. Loading times are **** for some reason. Will update tomorrow.

yea i buy a new PC RYZEN 3600x and RX 5700 xt and with VULKAN the game give me 40 FPS more so i stop using DX, but since the last patch 60gb update for the new operators and OREGON MAP, the vulkan api stop working every time get stuck on optimizing shadders 85%, is really a mess because BUGISOFT never fix their ****, im waiting to play breakpoint only because they launch a broken game, and this R6S is giving me problem with vulkan, and WITH CHEATERS on RANKED MATCH.
never trust in this company they are very famous with their BUGs and problems
