How has it been for me? Well, it's been a while since I actually decided to really deep dive into the game but it's been fun! I have noticed a difficult spike, sure, but it's nothing I'm complaining about. It keeps me on the edge, and I been enjoying it.

    So, thank you, Ubisoft!

Seems like the game is dead for non dlc players.25 minutes or more to get a full team on hard or challenging difficulty!!! Nice job ubisoft.nice!!
Seems like they split the community dlc and non dlc.
Seems like TD2 is pay to win even if you have payed to win but you still facing a wall on challenging or heroic.
Seems like you all forgot Devs left behind non dlc players and we get half of stats now because the other half is for dlc players so no full stats for us.
I never finished a heroic since update.
I spend 2 or more hours on Challenging only for players to leave at the final boss since we are overwhelmed with hundreds of enemies where to take off a red bar enemy take 1 minute and 150 bullets from a LMG.
11 hours spent trying to finish 5 missions ,Tidal Basin X 3 times (never finished) and Manning zoo X2 second time after 2 hours we finished.
I have almost all stats to max but that won't care too much since you even build all red even all blue which is armor or damage.
    Build for armor damage sucks
Build for damage = damage sucks also survivability sucks you are one shot no matter if you have 370k armor or 190k.
With half stats I don't see a way to ever finish an heroic stronghold.
I tried a level 4 CP twice with no chance.
Enemies are God's. The damage they take Vs the damage they do is unbelievable. This is a mess.
To kill an elite must put almost 600 bullets from Pestilence LMG.
    The signature weapons are trash.
    Grenades are trash like always.
    Skills are useless.
    Mods are useless.
Dlc players can have assault rifles with 90k damage while non dlc have only 15k at max.
I am talking only about challenging difficulty. Pre dlc I was playing only heroic . And challenging when I want to solo.
Better try solo challenging now because the game is harder when 4 players. Is something wrong here.
And maybe Is more to say but I let others to say them.
Anyway we payed for a game and now we have an entirely another game with bugs and locked content and God's NPC's.
The Devs seems like don't give a s#it on us. They took our money sow now is fu#k off and play what you have or leave, we got your money we are good here.

Thanks ubisoft even if I liked all your games and I played them and still play some of them I can say I will never ever buy something from you.

LOL the question was 'non DLC owners hows your game going' and the vast majority of responses was 'I'm playing something else' shows you the pathetic fxcking state devs left the base game in, and how they deliberately segregated the entire community to those who pay more and those who won't. To anyone and everyone defending paid expansions on top of season passes or yearly passes or battle passes or whatever, it is YOU who are fxcking the gaming industry. Billion dollar devs like Ubi bank on your stupidity to Pay to Keep Playing, and they are winning.

So, hows my game going? SH!T. My builds got destroyed, I can't play with any friends who have the expansion, and its clear the base game has absolutely nothing to offer at all. After one year. Nothing. For a live service game that is a fxcking joke, and its the last time I buy anything with Ubi or Massive's name on it!

I feel your pain man! The main hit to the gut was from being very effective with the old system on heroic to being semi effective on the new system on normal.
If this was the case from the start and you were used to it being this time consuming I guess the player base would have been very different. But for me since I could have a quick kick *** session back with the old system now it just takes too much time.

they should just split this forum up also, most posts are not relevant to one group or the other :s

same with youtube, they shoudnt call it division 2 vids, it should be wony division 2 vids. its misleading.

Yeah I find allot of the content I watch I stop watching when it is WONY. That's fine though for the content creators as they need to stay relevant. But just another hit to the gut that it is radio silent for the level 30's.

Some time all you need is a change from the system you remember and a fresh breath of gaming hits you. I'm glad you are enjoying the harder content. Some thing just always bug's me about shooting and ungodly amount of bullets at a target and nothing seems to happen. Mostly relevant when your 3+ agents and challenging+. If that is fun for you then when they re-balance that you might be disappointed.

That's a big rant there, hope it helped to vent a bit! I totally agree with your points and I understand that the Dev's will be re-balancing when they have more data. I just wonder what the game will be like when most of the new players pass the world tier 5 point and on to the new frontier.

I've been gaming for...Oh I don't know, 35 years or so, and mostly RPG's or shooty shooty stuff, like COD or Battlefield, hence why I figured The Division 2 would be right up my alley. I'm one of the €3 bunch though, so I've only been playing for 3 weeks, meaning I got almost a week in before the expansion hit, and thus had a taste of the old build system. I have to say I find the newer system far more streamlined, though also really rather broken in terms of set items not functioning properly. I've also not moved beyond "Hard" difficulty in missions yet, either, mostly because I'm still finding my feet when it comes to putting a good build together.

The gear ceiling seems perfectly fine, though I do wish there was a SHD level equivalent for us non-DLC owners, as it feels like we're being left behind for no real reason. Surely the DLC is mostly about being able to go to NYC and kick Keeners arse, right? But they get all of that, plus level 40, plus SHD levelling, plus global difficulty levels, plus the new gear system, and we get... Gear 2.0. That seems a little unbalanced to me. Am I having fun though? Hell yes. 138 hours (according to the Ubisoft launcher) so far, and I have no intention of slowing that down too much, and I'm looking forward to pushing forward with my "Hard" difficulty missions. Fingers crossed they fix some of the hideously broken AI behaviour, and the seemingly chaotic spawns (2 mortar dogs, 2 heavy gunner dogs, and 2 heavy gunners, in a small corridor in the Federal Bunker. On hard. What the heck?), and I'd also like to see them re-work both exotics, and the specialization weapons in short order.

Does the game have problems? Yes it definitely does. Are they any worse than other companies? Yes, in some ways, though I guess what everyone else does is rather irrelevant. Will I be buying the DLC? No, I won't. Not just because I'm piss poor, though that plays into it. Rather because a lot of these issues, up to and including the incessant connection problems seemingly after every single patch (Who on Earth does your network testing Massive?) would make spending €30 on it a very, very poor use of my incredibly limited funds. Likely what I'll do instead is pick up The Division 1 while it's on sale, and get an entire games worth of content for one third the price. Maybe I'll get the expansion at a later date, but only if they fix what's broken, and hopefully before adding anything new.

For me the entire new gear and talent system feels like they had been given the instruction to bring the time that players are in game up.
I can manage to finish some missions on challenge now that my red build only takes 15 head shots on a named enemy. It just feels like my time is being taken away and I'm left feeling "glad that's over" instead of "that was fun".
I also find that locking the level 40 behind a DLC was a mistake but with the players usually being very vocal on what they paid for vs what everyone got for free, these things will probably just become the new norm.
But regardless I'm happy your having fun and I agree waiting for the dust to settle is best with this update.
