A suggestion for Ubisoft to assist those players who like to play this game their own way. could be to create an added mechanic that would allow players to create a mission from the ground up, including the selection of the location, intelligence (story behind the mission), objectives to be achieved, difficulty level, gear limits and specific rules. The player could then invite other players to participate in that mission and also save missions in a community database so others could draw from then for their private sessions.
I realize this would not be as easy as it sounds, given that it involves the creations of online private sessions for each mission. But this would add so much replay-ability to the game and reduce the need for in house development to continue to feed the content hunger of the player base. This has certainly been done in other franchises with success, so it may be something worth considering for the future of this game.
I would fully support this decision, in Wildlands. In Breakpoint this would only give us the option to create personal shooting galleries. There is no complexity to the game, or the AI in Breakpoint so what you would get is the ability to manually place enemies in a base, and then what? The same less than compelling task of shooting paper targets.
Oxymoron right there. War but rated pgOriginally Posted by Icetyger4 Go to original post
Ah, I see. I was referring to sexually explicit content, like you see with the Call of Duty emblem editors. I would prefer not to infiltrate a base, where the soldiers are standing around in the shape of male genitalia, or some other such nonsense. There are always people who create things like this with level/mission editors.Originally Posted by Klaymond Go to original post
I see your point and I totally disagree. Why?Originally Posted by Icetyger4 Go to original post
I value freedom of choice. Custom made stuff is fully in your control if you will play it or not.
There are players who would find it fun and entertaining so why taking away their fun?![]()
Would you like it if you were invited to a party and everyone at the party threatened you with physical violence, claiming it was their right to do so, because they have freedom of choice? There has to be limits and restrictions to protect the rights of everyone. If this wasn't the case, we wouldn't have ratings on videogames and movies. Do you believe children should have total access to adult material?
I understand you have the right to create whatever content you want, but I have the right to not be exposed to content I don't want to see. So, whose rights should we uphold? That's where the ratings and content warnings come in to play. Player created content isn't rated, so rules and behaviour guidelines must be established and agreed to by the users, before they are allowed to create new content.
What the... mate? Why are you mixing apples with bananas?Originally Posted by Icetyger4 Go to original post
There are rules, and if you by any chance thought I am full for anarchy then I am not. If I recall it correctly then making threats is illegal correct me if I am wrong.
Breakpoint is a videogame which has age rating - M for mature. A mature person is a sane person who IS able to make decisions especially so easy one like picking up content based on their preference. And a sane mature person simply quits and deletes stuff which isnt to their liking or they find it offending.
And if you insist that kids are playing the game... well then M for mature, complain to their parents that they dont care what content their loved ones are consuming, which IS the source of the problem you are concerned about and instead of addressing the problem you rather vote for restrictions for everyone lol... this modern age will get us killed with absolute stupidity.
They could create a sort of tactical overlay latter - similar to Starcraft 2 Editor.
Allowing players to add basic scripting and trigger boxes - as well as designate "Spawn points"
and objectives.
For example, simply placing markers for patrol routes - and then assigning troops to each route.
Placing markers for "Reinforcements" and game brings units in through its own game handling system.
Also allowing a Text-based mission provider similar to old RPGs - where there is no Voice Overlay.
Since that would unnecessarily complicate things.
