So, i'm playing at normal difficulty and honestly i have no clue how to get more "powerful" for higher difficulty content.
Before there was gear score and if you moved up a world tier you knew you would find better gear so you could steadily improve and feel the boost in power.
Plus it gave meaning to blue and purple gear. You still found those pieces usefull as "placeholders" while waiting for the gold drop.
Now everything can drop in normal. And i don't get how am i suppose to approach it. Recalibration applies only to one stat so my understanding is that i have to aim for the perfect piece i want which has to be exactly how i want it except for one attribute i want to recalibrate.
It's cumbersome and boring. And still i honestly don't get how i am suppossed to cross finger and recalibrate for a build letting me face things on challenging that don't one shot me.
Before drops in world tier 3 had a power not obtainable in world tier 1. Now it's like everything is stuck in world tier 1 quality. Seems to me the pleasure of getting loot is almost killed now... i really don't get it.
P.S.
i don't even consider shd levelling as progression. It's worthless and boring
I agree, I have a similar issue together with not really getting anything that helps me to improve. Stats are ridiculous low most of the time. The watch leveling thing seems also to be taken right out of WoW. Those artifact weapons, as well as now this neck piece. Just a thing that keeps the rod with the carrot in front of the peoples noses to suggest there is something to achieve. It is one of the most boring progression system that I know. But again, if there are people out there that enjoy those things....
Also after knowing TD since the initial release of the first game, how the people play and what kind of people you meet, I am sure it will soon work like that for people that like to use matchmaking. Invite, watch level not deemed appropriate -> kick.
They should have just let us recalibrate 2 items per piece of gear. A stat and a talent, a mod and a talent, etc.
For progression, all they had to do was increase base armor values and throw in some base health tier by tier. That's part and parcel for mmos.
To keep things interesting, introducing new and INTERESTING brand sets and exotics would have kept us farming. Expand on the watch some more in the future, and boom done.
This whole new system is a joke. You're suppose to farm foe another 2% awd or 3% chc? A bunch of massive noobs if you ask me. Such a waste of an expansion.
