Neptune Manhunt stretched out over 8 weeks?!?!

Really struggling to think of ways to keep people playing huh?

‘Hey boss, what if we put time gates on all the manhunt objectives? That way players have to play our game for 2 months if they want to finish the manhunt!”

I guess you didn’t have confidence in your other season activities holding players?

Honestly, who cares if we finish the manhunt in a week total. Let us determine how we want to play out the content.

Your ‘season’ is supposed to keep us playing just by leveling it right?

Just shake my head at these design decisions....

Huh? It is not that big of a deal. It is extra content. The other stuff goes with it added on to it makes up for it. Don't be entitled.

There is no ‘huh’? The repeated manhunt game mechanic was already given to us with the Keener manhunt. Its nothing new other than a bunch of chicks this time with rerun skill attacks.

I have no intention of hanging around because of forced time gates on content.

Add it to the pile of dumb design decisions in this DLC....

...oh, offer a solution....right, let me do your job..

Add a new Manhunt every 2 weeks, 5 new targets. Just come up with new end rewards for the final target. Exotics will be fine.

Basically all you need to do is create 5 portraits for the Manhunt screen and rehash some elite hunter npcs as targets, naming them something different. Offer a exotic as a final reward. Done.

The main thing is the loot chase. You got plenty of content to do while waiting for the extra stuff that add spice. The gated content is not that big of a deal. Season grind watch grind, loot grind. You got other stuff to do while waiting. It is not like you need the content to have something to do.

Do what? Replay the same missions in a super small DLC map. Take the same control points over and over, same bounties, same missions....crank up difficulty...repeat, repeat.

So Yes, the manhunt offers a purpose to want to progress the season. We just need more than ONE. a season.

I completely agree with you that all this "new" activity is incredibly stretched. And taking into account the fact that any change in complexity, according to the idea of Ubi, resets all progress, there is no sense in completing task chains. You can do everything in the last 2 weeks of the season, when the main goal becomes available.
I’m even more disappointed that they didn’t even rework the necessary missions and did not add this “special unit” Black Tusk to them. All these words about the "continuation of the plot" are empty talk.

Id rather get new stuff every 2-3 weeks than have the same stuff to do over and over for 6 months with nothing new.

i like the idea of having it stretched out...between work, wife, and kids i i cant play for more than maybe a hour or two a day...this gives me time to actually get this new content done.
