Good plan, play Wildlands after Breakpoint and you will not be disappointed.
The two most jarring things when switching between the two games will be the character movement, outside of buildings it's much smoother in Breakpoint(Mostly due to the free floating camera and "next gen" animations). And the enemy AI behavior. Breakpoints AI is... slow, at it's best. Wildlands, on the harder difficulties(especially in Tier mode) you'll start taking fire from 200m from deadly accurate machine pistols from enemies obscured by foliage. But it's easy enough to get comfortable with after just a little time invested.

Finish year 1 and cut your losses. Start working on the next game. It is obvious that this game was created from the beginning to be monetized experience.

You might as well start a thread for future games now and we can start with our wish list for a true sequel to Wildlands.

I also bought Wildlands (cheap yeah ) I haven’t played it yet. Reading all these topics I want to finish Breakpoint first. I’m afraid that if I start playing Wildlands I don’t want to play Breakpoint anymore.

I’m more an assassins creed player. I finished Odyssey a couple of times and I was looking for a different game to play till the next AC will be released. Breakpoint looked oké and it had a single player option so I bought it.

What irritates me most about the game is that the camera position and zoom changes in close combat. And that my oponents seem to be able to walk through fences where I can’t.
But Odyssey is AC game as Breakpoint is GR title.

Both games are a joke of what those series stood for...

I own, played and finished all AC titles to date including the most dissaponiting Odyssey.

Odyssey broke my AC fanboy heart and I dont care about any further sequels anymore. Ashraf will bring a good story, but gameplay will most likely remain like Odyssey. So I can just watch it on YT.

I am not going to suffer another progression grind in a series which never was about grinding.

I am far from the majority by saying this, but aside from the first Far Cry (when it was new), Primal was my favorite. It was a nice breath of fresh air to put down the guns and go primitive for a while. Ironically, I am a gun collector IRL, but just about all major titles now are shooters. I enjoy them too, just enjoyed the change...

Back to the OP. I am only about 20 hours or so in so my opinion may change as I play it longer. First off, I hate, absolutely hate, the drone farm areas. For one, the sound they make is like fingernails on the chalkboard to me. One, two, maybe even a few drones around the story missions aren't bad. But, I have found some that are at my GS level and 3 hits from a .338 won't take it down. I have 2 .338's in my safe (a .338 Win mag and .338 Lapua) and I bet those will take down any little drone like those.

Variable scopes need to have variable magnification in the game!

I wish you could turn off the cover mechanics. It is far too quirky and unreliable to be helpful. Trying to get out of a small building you sometimes have to sprint through the door openings or else the character will try to take cover on one side, then the other. The Division 1 had the cover mechanics done very well. The area was reliable, the movement was same. Only what constituted cover to the game wasn't reliable, but as long as you left cover indicators on it wasn't a problem.

I have seen others opinions here on this as well. You are portrayed as a single survivor; a lone gunman. Naturally you'd have to use stealth. From my play on the normal difficulties the stealth feels OK. Nothing like a true sniping game, but that is also OK. It is not a pure sniping game. But, when the alarm is sounded at a base, one would expect to be pursued. Most of the times if they send out anyone, then it is a small party of 1 to 3 NPC's which are spaced easily to take out. For a bit I got lazy and would snipe the snipers, then shoot someone in plain view so they would send people out. I'd thin them down by 1/3rd or so then go in and finish up close. Now my goals have been either sneak in without killing anyone and open all the chests, or full stealth clear every enemy in the base. Even when the radio operators call for backup, they often don't even leave the vehicles.

They need to still do some UI work, particularly at 4k. I think I had 11 skill points that I couldn't figure out how to use after I bought the 4 main skill trees. I later found out (thanks to another thread) that 4k caused things like this in the game. Sure enough, I have to use my arrow keys to move the screen to where I can see the options.

Another UI comment... They have all these locations marked, some pin to your main screen, and such but even as far as I am in, I still am not sure which ones should be done first. Sometimes I'll be heading to one, and discover a clue which sends me to another direction.

The settlements and bases need to change colors (maybe from white to gray) once you have obtained everything from them. If something later is offered there again from a mission, then it could be changed back. Also, the common area where you buy stuff needs to have a more prominent icon. I've only been to it twice and last night it took me a bit to find it.

Needs New Game + mode! I see it has multiple characters, but with no way to share between them that I have found. If so, then you could start a new character with the higher gear score and play it through with no XP gains, but still play and be able to re-use your gear.

Things I do particularly like that aren't all that common.
Dead enemies don't de-spawn after a short period of time like most games. This helps those of us who like to methodically snipe and clear out most of the base. Otherwise, the replacement ammo de-spawns before I pick it up.

So far, with all the climbing and sliding up and down mountains I have yet to get stuck (knocks on wood). I think he slides a bit too easily sometimes though.

In my humble opinion, this game will never be as good as Wildlands. And 3-5 years, damn! Severe red flags before this game was even released. No AI teammates and online only. I knew we were in trouble from just that. And unbelievably, it got worse! From the stupid minor things like sliding down the hills and his dumb *** grunting. To the major problems like F*CKING GEAR SCORE and the hundreds of bugs and crashes. On the positive side, I'm glad they are adding AI teammates, getting rid of F*CKING GEAR SCORE, and changing the camera view. I hated the camera view and honestly didn't think it would get fixed. Good job Ubi. But, why you ventured so far from Wildlands is baffling. No offense, but that was just plain stupid. Wildlands should be your template and just improve on that. Shout out to my AI DAWGS. See you soon.....

I said that because Wildlands had only 2 years of support, assuming that BP is fixed with in 2 years like most Ubisoft games are, that additional 3 years of support would be hypothetically "good" content and updates, but people while enjoying the game at that point, the effect of "this is one of the best games I've ever played" or "charm" of the game will never be there because of the launch and the first 2 years. We would probably view this game in that time similar to say something like Siege is viewed here, where most of us can acknowledge that objectively, it is a "good game", but We'll always say how it doesn't compare to the older rainbow six games or even the Vegas games or the "not a real rainbow six game" argument.
