I like the game in general. Great potential. But many glitches

PvP is very bad at the moment. Too fast, not as tactical or real, and the game breaking ablitity to look one way while run opposite direction.

In my opinion the looking and aiming at your BACK is really bad. Ability to dodge bullets must stop! (camera 360 freedom, speed and stamina, bullet speed are main reasons)

Fix the pacing, fix camera, fix glitches, and the game will be great.

Now, if you could also get rid of the vignette effect while being hidden please, that would be nice too. For me this one isn't just about being annoying, it is really, really uncomfortable for me.

First point is Ghost Recon Breakpoint is fun to play, as a spin-off, but even after 24 March it will not be a Clancy game because the story does not match a Clancy theme, nor does the core of breakpoint match the core of the Ghost franchise. This is not a criticism of the game overall, just an observation that GRB is an a "apple" and the remainder of the games including Wildlands are "oranges". I personally prefer "oranges" over "apples", but I enjoy both.

That said, even when recognizing what GRB is at its core, it can be improved and we will see many of those elements implemented on the 24th being a start in the right direction. But to make the game "the best that it can be", there is still work to be done. For example:

    1. When we enter the second season, the drone veil needs to be lifted and the game needs to move away from the lone wolf thing that is getting old fast, and return to a supported Ghost team. To save this game in the long term, Ubi Paris cannot delay the return of NPC team longer than the first anniversary of the game and need to set that hard cap as a planning target.

    2. Dev work needs to be done to fill the world with life, to allow the player to feel like he/she is in a living and breathing society that has been occupied by a hostile force. Like Wildlands, we need to see the civilian population living their lives the best they can, in a world under marshal law. Add vehicle traffic, with enemy checkpoints where the civilians are being harassed as they look for information about you. Make the world such that it is important that you keep the "hearts and minds" of the civilian population to support your efforts.

    3. The new update is going in the right direction in getting rid of the gear RPG-lite mechanics within the Ghost Experience, but the next step is to continue to improve the Gunsmith even past what it was in Wildlands. Given the game is based on the US Army, Ubi Paris needs to bring in a few consultants to properly align their in game weapons and gear to better represent real life configurations and performance. Though there are many examples, my pet peave ( as mentioned here many times), is how the BMG Snipers are represented as .338 rather than their IRL .50 cal, which is a huge difference in weight and ballistic performance. When I talk about gear characteristics, I mean all of their positives and negatives, as the total package should impact your tactical choices to take one over the other.

    4. If this game is going to continue with Wolves representing enemy operators, rather than just enemy patrols with weird uniforms, the AI associated with them need to align with operator tactics to add to the challenge when we face them. Right now, even in the hardest difficultly, they are just bullet bait with bad music to announce their presence! They need to become more difficult as a result of their improved behaviors, not becoming more spongy!

    5. Increase the level of general enemy AI in the area of defense, including enemy sniper tactics for the purpose of area denial to high value targets. This is to increase the threat when approaching a target, to force the player to employ strategy in their tactics to remain undetected.

    6. In future content (season 2), having mission success be defined by the achievement of primary and secondary objectives, rather than the simple go talk to X, or go steal Y. In essence, increase complexity of the missions to force tactical decision making as you plan and force the player to overcome when an unforeseen element is injected into the execution of a mission.

Though the backdrop of this game will never be a cannon Clancy Ghost game, these elements will make it a stronger strategic tactical shooter that the lovers of the franchise will enjoy.

    It has potential.

Some aspects of the game were improvements over Wildlands, but these were lost for many among the obvious deficiencies. I've enjoyed playing Breakpoint, in spite of the shortcomings, and I am optimistic about the direction of the franchise because those shortcomings have been recognised.

Breakpoint itself will improve for many players when the immersive experience drops (technical issues aside which I hope will be minimal this update) but needs AI team mates and more story content to be complete. Whether or not the community as a whole will accept the game fully when it reaches this state remains to be seen.

Overall, I think the game as it is played the way it was made to be played is an absolute travesty and a thorough disregard to the dev team who put so much painstaking work into developing an open world. Left with ridiculous and repetitive missions, nonsensical game modes with no relation to the title and lazy implementation of bullet sponge opponents detracts from the game's potential.

BUT as several in the forums have pointed out- there is ample opportunity to dig into the game in a manner that allows you to choose your own adventure. There are lots of places to go and ways to challenge yourself within a rich tapestry of facilities and nature areas. Limiting yourself in ways that will have taken 6 months for Ubisoft to successfully implement (or not, we'll see) can provide you with an almost limitless way to lose yourself for hours. Start by challenging yourself to not kill every civilian you meet and build out from there...

Additionally, if you just took Tom Clancy and Ghost Recon off the cover (and forgot about what was promised, and and and) you end up with a standalone title that really isn't too bad if you like that sort of thing. Buggy AF in too many ways to count but- measured against its individual merits as a rainbow bright unicorn looter shooter for tots, there's some potential there.

I have about 300 hours in now and it's not because the whole thing is trash... I mean, yeah- the whole thing IS trash when being evaluated against what everyone expected from what was advertised and the Tom Clancy / Ghost Recon brand. We've covered that.

But for those would enjoy bending the game's reality to fit their own narrative- as the "Post your ghost" thread constantly demonstrates there are loads of ways to lose yourself within that expansive world and create interesting content with excellent graphic fidelity. There is a community of folks out there who are interested in helping you get there or bringing you along for the ride. The trick is trying to find them while wading through a swap of deserved negativity.

Ghost mode may not resolve all of the concerns I have about the game... but it represents an acknowledgement by Ubisoft that they've turned a page. I'll keep looking for opportunities to dig into the game "my way" and I still enjoy the coop elements with like-minded friends I've been fortunate to meet in game (ironically in a 3rd party application).

The looting and grinding don't belong, the weapons look and feel like bb guns, the majority of combat is based around random encounters with hyper-aware drivers, the pair of bike patrolmen, the pair of prefab cover checkpoint patrolmen, the helicopters and Azraels that spawn right over your position, the gear doesn't look real, the movement is off, and the actual gameplay is unsatisfying.

The game world is empty and focuses on things that shouldn't be in the game at all like "traces of ancient ruins". Instead of having secret underground bases to infiltrate in a variety of ways (rappelling down, parachuting in, crawling in through a vent, etc) we get chests with random loot or Skell credits hidden behind a fireplace or a hole in a wall.

They can still salvage the game but it'll take a lot of effort.

I've managed to squeeze alot of juice out of this orange playing it as a SERE simulator and limiting myself to 3 weapons. Limited enemy contact and only travelling at night. Breakpoint is nowhere near the game Wildlands is in terms of story and overall "complete-ness." I like Breakpoint okay but I still love Wildlands.

It desperately tries to emulate multiple different genres and franchises with clear hope of combining their most beloved features in one lucrative title, but results in a lopsided disappointment sandwich.

Underneath it all there is a decent enough action game, as long as the player is willing to jump through some hoops and ignore a lot of the content. The game world and map design is extremely empty and probably the one feature I dislike the most. I could probably even live with tier loot if the world was interesting enough to explore.

The biggest issue I have with the game is how much of the Wildlands feedback the team originally ignored, or was told to ignore by the editorial team. I sincerely hope the immersive experience will turn out to be as positive as the recent press release promised, for the future of this franchise.

Overall I like the game, just feel like the story was too short. Not a fan of the gear score and weapons locked behind raids. Also the vehicle mechanics need work. I think Maria's shop could have been done differently, instead of depending on RNG to get a weapon with the attributes you want, should have been able to use the parts you get from looting drones and dismantling weapons & gear to get the weapons you want. Wildlands has a better story, voice acting, and cut scenes, IMO. But hopefully Breakpoint will get some classes and DLC to improve the game and I hope the get the faction mission battle tier system working again and maybe use that system as a means for players to get new weapons vs just the raid
