I have really mixed feelings about this entry in the franchise. My main issues is the (as many others) gear and weapon lvl, the implementation and design of drones and the story writting. This is just how the game as a concept was conceived that bothers me and there's not much that can be changed (until the march TU for the gear/weapon lvl system).Originally Posted by Jayitson304 Go to original post
Otherwise, there is also all the technical issues (high altitude crash, base jump bugs, clipping issues, opfor AI, and too many others to be listed) that can be fixed, and should be addressed more frequently.
If we stick with a strick comparison with GRW, there is a few things that could be considered as improvements:
-the world in itself looks better and it's a technical improvement
-some mechanics like the introduction of health and stamina are interesting (although I feel the system should have been pushed a bit more)
-the influence of terrain on the character movement is also an interesting feature
In a nutshell, GRBP ideas aren't bad and somethings can be considered as improvements to GRW, but due to technical issues and gameplay elements that don't have their place in the franchise I have troubles considering it an improvement to GRW.

For me — it would be easier to add a few things to WL’s. This game seems to have so many issues.
Love the dynamic camouflage, the options for the knife takedowns, wire cutters.
I love (at least in concept) the injury system and light survival mechanics if they had been implemented meaningfully. The immersive mode will likely resolve that.
But that’s it really.
raid island has the best locations and hardest enemies, makes the main island(s) look like a piece of cake, should've been the kind of challenge that the campaign offered...though, looking at the raid gameplay, the bosses look super annoying.
worst parts of the game;
drones
wolves
looting
gear score
driving
cutscenes
apart from that, it's not bad...
pretty bad ghost recon game but decent enough shooter.
wildlands was great and still is.
Massively disappointing as far as Ghost recon games goes. Would had been better if they had marketed this game as a Division game instead.
The GR community has only ever asked for a MODERN TACTICAL MILITARY SHOOTER.
Instead Ubisoft Paris thought we want flying laser tanks and raids.....and then decided to launch this overmonetized cookiecutter generic B-Sci-fi bugridden looter-shooter dumpsterfire of a game.
2/10, just a massive disappointment.
It does not matter what UBI does to fix the game because it will continue being what it is. The main core of the game cannot be fixed. What they are doing is exactly what we can do to a car : we can pain it, change mirrors, change bumpers, we can add a new GPS, alarm, tint glasses, etc, etc, etc, but the main structure of the car, the chasis, cannot be changed at all. This game main core cannot be changed at all as well and whatever they did and will do, will only be to make it look better than it is.
It is not a Clancy game at all. UBI already said it that the game cannot be OFFLINE, precisely because the main core of the game cannot be changed at all. The story cannot be changed. Even if they introduce AI teammates, I will be in a serious doubt that will work flawless. Gearscore is a mess, gunsmith is unfinished, the story as I said is not that good, the side missions are always the same in different places, the stupid Terminator is a joke, a real bad joke. I am not a fan of fiction mixed with reality at all. Remember the movie AVATAR ? Well, the bad guy, the colonel wears a robot at the end to fight the rebels. That robot frame exist now in US army and probably Russia and China. Instead Terminator, they should have introudced those robot frames and the game would have been more close to what we have in real armies now in the world.
There is zero sense that you are being hunted by Walker's army and you are in an island. On the contrary, you alone ( assuming that you are playing solo as I do ) can destroy Walker's army but they cannot find you at all. That is unreal. My point is that if you are going to make a military game, make it closer to reality, as it would be if it was real. Use your imagination now and think what type of game you would create if you decided or could created a military game at this moment. If you know something about army and combat, I am pretty sure that you would never come up with a game like this one. Think if you want to infiltrate a Navy Seal or Elite Delta Force in an island, what kind of story and what kind of game you would create and I am pretty sure that you would never mix fiction with reality in the first place.
As other said, the game had the potential to be the best military game but they screwed up completely. The cornerstone of this game is to get to those enemy bases, kill them all and get the blueprint. Excuse me but if I want to have zillions of weapons I better play Borderlands 3. If I want to play fiction, I better play Star Wars and If I would like to play against Terminator, there is a game already. I would have loved this game to be a real Clancy game with AI teammates, offline and kind of Wildlands but better, polished, enhanced ... but instead, they decided to make another Division game but using the Clancy name Ghost Recon. No matter what they do in their boring announcement Immersive Mode, it will continue being the same so what would be the point anyway ?

Camera Placement: Choose whether the camera will dynamically adapt its distance depending on the situation: staying close, or moving further from the character.
- Dynamic: Camera dynamically shifts between close during combat and far out of combat. This is how the camera currently works in the game.
- Close: Camera stays close to the player character.
- Far: Camera stays far from the player character.
Loved it, gutted it's finished.
Hope there's another decent DLC soon that is all action and not the last side mission like talk to A, tell B, Sends you to C as a matter of importance, needs more info from A and your back and forth.
I've linked a great row of knife fights in the 'Fan pics, vids' thread. I think you will like.
Honest opinion: I love the game, but after finishing the main campaign there's nothing left to do in that mode. It takes around 15 hours to finish it. I don't think that's the point of a GAAS.
The Raids add more replayability and i've been playing that, but the main campaign is an afterthought.
This game needs something like The Division with weekly challenges, invasions, incursions, special events, etc. And more customization options for each of those events.
I'd play a new weekly challenge, event, etc, if it meant getting exclusive gear and customization options as rewards.
Are they planning to lock camera form looking at your back?Originally Posted by UbiBlush Go to original post
