I have just come back to the game after a few month break and I have to say I'm impressed!
I love the new calibration system and I'm starting to love the new way gear is done. Though I'm still learning the ins and outs of some of the new talents and skill changes.
But what I really loved the most is that missions feel so much better!! If I do a hard mission, it feels HARD, if I do a challenge mission… well, those are actually CHALLENGING again and it feels like I actually accomplished something. That being said I think that the enemies may need a slight adjustment down to make them a teeny, tiny, bit easier to kill but even if they stayed the same it's not the end of the world.
I also love the new way stats for gear are displayed. It's a huge improvement and so much better that it was before!
Im with ya DK, loving the challenge!! Lots of good changes applied and like you said, maybe just a tweak but it feels good for the most part.Originally Posted by DarkKnight27us Go to original post
No they are not.Originally Posted by RUFIORUFIOO Go to original post
Even though I run solo my build on challenging has a total of 1 red stat in the entire build from top to bottom.(and in a hard mission I put out 224M damage in total. You are not being forced into anything. and anyway if you are in a group you have to have atleast a balance red build/blue build etc etc etc
There is a group on here that did Heroic in under 30 mins, and they were not all red builds.
@Dark see first one in.
In fact, not at all.Originally Posted by RUFIORUFIOO Go to original post
I did an Heroic Mission two days ago with 2 mates.
I was litterally the only one guy on a Red "glasscannon" build and i did the least DPS xD.
Here a small screenshot of a friend did few days ago with a skill build.
Spoiler: Show
Nope, I've been playing in groups. And the scaling makes it feel like you need actual teamwork now. Kill the medics, kill the GD healing stations, kill the grenadiers, etc. It feels really good to have to play smart, use cover and play as a team.Originally Posted by RUFIORUFIOO Go to original post
I'm not using a "full red" build but it still feels like I can contribute and like I'm helping.
Hehehe, I've been called worse.Originally Posted by Cadillac-Jack Go to original post
And this is my first time back on the forums in about 5, maybe 6 months.
I'm glad I missed the drama.
Some of the saltier players are... interesting, and I can't work out their logic. Some say the changes are fine for hardcore players as they have time to reinvest in starting a new build but it's ruined the game for casual players, but some are ranting equally loudly that it's pandering to casuals and has ruined the experience for hardcore players who've invested time in their builds. All I know is I got bored of the game and quit months ago but now I find myself working out when I can next sneak in a couple of hours. I'm sure there's still room for improvement, but the simplified system feels like it's much easier to tweak than the overly complex way it used to work, and hopefully going forward will result in far fewer of the "unintended consequences" we used to have to put up with every time they tried to rebalance something, with a fix for one thing breaking a dozen others.
Now if only they'd just quit quietly rather than being intent on incoherently yelling at us that we're wrong for not hating it things would be even better, but never mind.
