This is objectively FALSE and is evidenced by every single one of you who said the game was too easy and everyone was a hybrid.

    You can't have both.

Coz they were useless, you know? Passives are now in stats, while there are two talents that are specifically making your build. Plus stats are multiplicative now, same goes to talents. So instead of 3 similar talents that gives you +30 hsd or 20% CHD they made a lot of situational talents.

For example, You can use Bloodsucker on backpack, Intimidate on Chest and increase incoming dmg to nearby enemies buy a lot thx to large bonus armor pool. Gloves can be BTSU, so on demand you can get 15 seconds of extremely powerful skill, like hello sticky bomb for 4 million dmg and the same amount as a dot. Or indestructible shield. Or super repair drone. That's a hybrid build.

Diversity now comes from both talents on chest and backpack, stats, that will increase those values or compensate your losses and a gun, that will dictate your style.

In reality, most builds used only 2 or 3 ACTIVE talents. All of the passive talents were rolled into the attribute system so they arn't technically gone. So its not really that major of a change to the talents as you still get 2 talents.

I am not opposed to these changes, but I am not feeling that the balance is quite right yet. And it was monumentally important to get the balance right because of these changes.

No, I don't know. Have you even seen the new BTSU? It's like you don't even play this game.

What is objectively false? That the old system was flawed?

Imo we really needed the gear overhaul. It might be a bit simplified with the talents, but at least now when you loot an item, you can instantly tell how useful it is and what you can do with it. That was my biggest issue with the old system. I still think there's enough diversity to be made, although I'm not overly enthusiastic about the fixed skill tiers yet.

As for the yellow stats on guns, there are a couple of very useful talents for skill builds. Take Spike for example, extra skill dmg or healing when hitting headshots.
It's not multiplicative and you don't have time for headshots due to the huge amount of skills (that work) the AI throw at you. 😂

    Sure.
I've used them during story. I can agree, that they should be buffed (lower cooldown for a solo player).
