You actually have to build for it now

I have had my frustrations here and there since gear 2.0, but nothing I couldn't or didn't work through. If you're having trouble with the game or you think that something about the builds has been weakened, you are right.

If you want hard hitting bullets you need to wear a lot of red. If you want hard hitting skills, you need a lot of yellow. If you want to be a tank, a lot of blues and a shield.

There is no longer being good at everything build. You can't be a tank with max skill power that can also shred with guns. I think that is the most common complaint that everyone has now.

The enemies have gotten tougher and I would say some are too strong (looking at you rogue agents). But so far I have found more success leaning real hard into a particular color for my builds. If you're having trouble, I recommend you do the same.

Have you tried using skills? They tickle the enemies before being *****slapped to death.

If you play long enough there are not problerms with difficulty levels. Be patient and don't be greedy. Setup difficulty options + directives to your expectations. Now Heroic feels for me like challenging.

I have and I felt the same way. Then I looked hard at my build and realized it isn't just enough to have the tiers. I don't have any skill damage rolls on my stuff. Even if you have average rolls on every piece plus the yellow mods, it isn't difficult to get an extra 50% skill damage vs having none of those rolls. You literally have to build for it now. Of course, the armored heavies will still be a problem for skill builds.

I have given up on a skill build for now until I can find better pieces. Right now I am nearly call complete with my smg build, but far from finished. After changing how I built I went from having trouble killing veteran enemies in challenging, to having trouble killing only some of the toughest enemies on heroic.

I do have SD rolls, I have yet to find a single damage mod, but even so the damage is additive, it would make little to no difference.

Going from 150% damage to 165% does not make skills suddenly able to kill anything.

They need to bring back the old mods and make them also work with skill tier, the higher your skill tier the more powerful the mod becomes. This way everybody will be able to use mods but those who invest in skill will squeeze the most out of them.

Weird on hc and challenge then i have less SD then you and am not having issues using stinger hive and combustion to destroy enemies and running in a group, the seeker mines and such yeah they are not doing a lot of damage compared to their skill tier but you have 9 mines i would not have minded it being the old 6 mines and they maybe did a lot more damage, but skill build is not just seeker mines and explosive skills.

Healing can also be insane with the right mods and talents on gear but everyone is going my mender hive or healing what ever it is calling is not good needs line of sight and skill repair to be effective.

First off, I've done my share of CP4s, so I'm not in any way saying higher levels are impossible.
What I'm saying is that even completely speccing into skill, the bulk of your damage will come from your guns (which will hit for barely their base damage)

Stinger hive is the only skill that can't miss, but it does a ridiculosly low amount of damage and is immediately destroyed by any boss,

Our fire tickles compare to theirs, it can at best be used to proc talents that amplify WD.

Yes, we have 9 seekers, on a 50 seconds cooldown, each one deals the same amount of damage a WD would deal in 10 bullets, and that is only when they actually hit, because NPC now simply walk away from the explosion.

I still have to try the artillery turret, but I cannot bring myself to even start up the game at this point, and even if that one skill was decent it would not save the whole thing.

I have not seen anybody talk about the specialisation skill mods yet. Seriously they are the weakest mods in the whole game & on top of that you can not even delete them if you have spent the points to unlock them. For example with the new Firewall class you can unlock the new modified shield skill with the shield mods the 1.2 % mod you unlock is pitiful. The other classes have a similar story with their respective mods too. These class based mods should be high tier mods with god rolls imo.

I'm not sure how you tested this. Yeah, no one complained that much in solo playing that the game goes crazy, but once you go 3+ in a group... 1.5mil armor goes down in 2sec TOP as soon as you pop-up from cover to shoot. You won't even finish the damn mag.

Full on red... well, works good on paper or solo, but in a 3+ group you're worthless to the team.

Yep, that's right. You have to build for 1 of 3 things:

    1) Gun dps
    2) Gun dps with inefficient skills.
    3) Gun dps with illusionary survivability.
