Division 2: Return of the Sponge
or
Division 2: Tedium Re-Imagined
***
My biggest issue is not that the content can't be done (it can), or that it's too hard (it's hard, but it can be beaten with care and attention and a lot of time). It's just that it simply isn't fun sitting there putting 100+ bullets into each mob to drop them. Especially when I have yet to see any noticeable increase in the quality of loot dropping from doing the harder, spongier, content.
At the moment the game feels more like a chore or a slog to get anything done. And it's all well and good for the apologists to tell everyone to go farm gear, but if the farming is boring and not enjoyable for a lot of players, then you have a problem. As there is no incentive for them to do it.
Personally I will just keep on slogging away, as I do. But if things don't improve in either terms of the reward or in the AI being tweaked with regards to their aggressiveness and their damage/tankiness, then I will just move on to other things. We have the Engineer coming out in Breakpoint, which I want to have a go at. Dauntless has a new Season coming up, Sea of Thieves has some interesting content in the immediate future... in short, there are lots of other grindy things I can be doing where they have balanced the time vs. reward a lot better.
