I thought my tv settings were off but seeing them on two screens while playing with my wife, they are just off. Poor camera placement and Terri-bad voice acting. The best ones were the non interactive ones but not by much.Originally Posted by AI BLUEFOX Go to original post

Cool! I've never played above Blood & Broken Bones----I'm concentrating on the main campaign to get to a New Game +; which I've never done before. If you haven't got the Hearts of Stone DLC; I heartily recommend it!Originally Posted by Bone_Frog Go to original post
I've done both DLCs and the NG+. I was doing a NG+ play through on Death March but frankly it was a bit too easy. So I went with a totally new game, and yeah that was harder, especially as I was using some appearance mods that only worked with certain armors and weapons, and I didn't upgrade until I hit lvl 11.Originally Posted by Flanker1Six Go to original post
Otherwise the only thing I don't like in Death March are the times I have to fight rats, they get seriously OP.
Have you played the Blood and Wine DLC? I preferred that to the Hearts of Stone one.
Don’t do it...Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
You’ve waited this long, whats a few months more.
You can’t play the game off-line proper — so there’s no way I’m spending more than £15.
And a lot of folks are reporting really bad AI. This on top of many other issues.
I can wait.
Ps. I love the Forest! Great game eh?
Is Day Z any good?
Well, while I can understand and root for those that can't live with this game without an offline option, it really means nothing to me in that sense. In other words, it's all about the other gameplay mechanics, etc. I know some would have even bought the game "as is" if offline was implemented which is why I think Ubi should really keep pursuing a solution if they want to increase their numbers. ....I wouldn't have but again, it's not about that for me.Originally Posted by LaMOi Go to original post
I played the aplha and the beta(s) so unless something has changed significantly, I didn't see the AI as much worse than what was in GRW. .....just in different ways. My main concern though has to do with drones, armored AI, etc. and how these changes will have an impact on trying to make the gameplay more lethal for hte AI and not just the player. I'd be happy with eliminating the enemy leveling and I'm not clear how all that works with the weapon changes and such.
My dilemma is that GRB is only $19 USD right now which is essentially at your spending limit for this game. ....and it's not that I can't afford it but more a matter of principle. I don't want to give Ubi my money if I think it's not deserved. On the other hand, if I don;t take advantage of this 60+% savings now, I might end up paying more for the game if I discover the TU delivers on a lot of the changes I've been waiting for. ......and then again, if I buy the game for $19 and it doesn't work out so well, it's only $19. I can spend that much on a lunch during the week.
The Forest is a great game especially considering the price when I bought it. I got my friend into it a while back and had been playing that until we got into the new CoD. .....not a fan of CoD but he bought it for his son and got into it himself. Turns out, some parts are pretty fun especially with the new changes.
DayZ is still a bugfest but yeah, it is a load of fun if you're into hardcore survival games with milsim mechanics. It's basically ARMA with zombies and other players like you simply trying to survive. Most would just assume shoot you in the face but some encounters can be a lot of fun. You can only shoot what you can see so real life tactics translate well into this game when clearing buildings, moving between cover, using concealment (including clothing options), attacking/engaging/ambushing enemies, etc.. I even rented my own server that my friend and I used as a PvE experience and learning tool (e.g. fixing abandoned vehicles, building bases, exploring the map, bases, etc.). Loads of fun although I tink I'm going to take a break for while after my rental lapses this month.
....btw, Insurgency Sandstorm has a firm date for release this August finally. I'm pretty much looking for a coop game to fill the void between now and then and GRB might be it if the changes affect the gameplay the way I would like.
