The NPC with the laser on her weapon, I'm in cover and do three clips in her head and all of a sudden she kills me and then goes on a frenzy to kill another two in the group
Weapon: The Savage Wolverine with pretty much maxed out stats
Gear: Decent WD and CHC/CHD and Armor
Platform: Xbox
Diificulty: Hard
Mision: Can't remember
I really did not want to say this as i am a avid TD player but something feels wrong, totally understand the heavy's being bullet sponges but some of the enemies in this update are way to OP with armor and Dps.
I have had to re-evaluate my gear/builds over and over thinking i must be doing something wrong, it feels like my armor has no meaning, 600k or 1.5m they rip through it.
I know it's still early days but it feels very depressing to play.
In my head i am thinking
"Jeez i have some real good rolled gear with nice talents, even if i maxed out it all out i don't think it's going to make that much difference"
And it's that what is depressing me.
I will keep at it and keep re-doing my build as i can't imagine it can always be this tough surely.
Oh and the scalling between solo and group feels way off.
p.s This all started to happen once i reached level 40, before that it was no way as bad.
That's why I didn't bother with an armor or damage build for the time being, as soon as I realized most hostile npcs were "super saiyan" buffed. I run alot of challenging missions with randoms, high armor players 900k-+1million drop like flies all around me. I'm the only one often left standing so we don't wipe, because I spam t6 drones & turrets at -10 second cooldowns. But even in those situations I can only do so much, having to take on 4 players' worth of npcs while hoping my teammates respawn in time to get back in the fight. It's dumb, the power imbalance right now. Unless a group is running all suped up "ranged" skill builds, "player down"'s are more frequent that medkit uses, armor & damage players are just getting dropped too dang quick.
There's definitely something off with scaling - whether it's a bug or they just messed up Idk. What's really stupid is they could just come out with a simple message like "Hey, guys, we're looking into some potential scaling issues/bugs" and it's going to calm down a lot of spirits, because there's a lot of people frustrated almost to a breaking point right now.
I can do nothing but agree.
All the while you just have to wait for some white knight to come and tell you that it's still early, you have to play at the level of your gear/skill, you'll find better rolls, and in a few weeks you'll be running around gun blazing like it's nothing...![]()
It's really stupid. This alone is making us want to avoid the game like the plague (or corona virus would be more fitting these days).. At least until they fix this horrendous scaling issue.
Here's what I have found so far (level 40 and beyond):
1. Enemies feels like they are on double your level, both health and damage wise.
2. Your armor is irrelevant, whether you have 650k or over 2 million, it does not matter, you will die in two hits regardless.
3. Grenade/drone/controller spam. Forcing you out of cover too often.
4. Too much status effects on the enemy side (fire, electric, etc.) - Note: This is without directives enabled.
5. Black Tusk warhounds are extremely bugged, like the rotating gatling one that will take you down in one hit regardless.. These are also way too tanky, and weakpoints does not always work.
6. Enemy weakpoints are not that weak.
7. It's like the roles are reversed from TU7.
8. Playing solo is a death wish.
9. You are forced to build one way to be viable! - This is what the developers did in League of Legends, effectively made me quit that game forever.
10. Healing is very broken, you are almost exclusively forced to use the limited supply of armor kits.
11. Skills doesn't always work as intended, or are too weak to consider (only the reviving hive and shield is viable today).
12. Exotics are a joke nowadays.
13. The removal of certain passive talents was a mistake.
14. Bullet sponge enemies.. Really Massive? This is beyond stupid!
Ha ha! You had me remember when my friends and I accidentally wondered in a level 25 area while at level 17Originally Posted by THE_Crazy_Hyena Go to original post
The feeling is pretty much the same: enemies take an eternity to die and they pretty much oneshot you, even though I must say in that occasion our armor could take more hits than now at level 40...
I also did that one time when I walked into Judiciary Square at a much lower level (I think I was level 15 or 16 at the time), This is exactly how the game feels like nowadaysOriginally Posted by desrocchi Go to original post
They said it s intended. "challenging is supposed to be challenging". So that means to do heroic you must be like ******g Rambo. And Legendary, what, like god? There's definitely something off with scaling - whether it's a bug or they just messed up Idk. What's really stupid is they could just come out with a simple message like "Hey, guys, we're looking into some potential scaling issues/bugs" and it's going to calm down a lot of spirits, because there's a lot of people frustrated almost to a breaking point right now.
But they also said solo should be able to do everything but the raid. I'd really like to see those guys doing the SOTG solo a legendary.
With emphasis on should be able toOriginally Posted by Chaykon Go to original post
Many of the missions, even on much lower difficulties are near impossible to solo
