Bullet Sponge Anti-Fun
Hey guys,
have difficulties to understandi where the fun in this game ended up.
I'm at SHD lvl 14, armor at 1.5 Mill, health at 350k, map difficulty at 'heavy' (don't concentrate on that, it's one level above 'normal').
When i try to infiltrate an enemy checkpoint, i experience the following:
- the battle lasts about 40 min untill i can defeat the first boss.
- boss takes 50 headshots with sniper rifle at 550k damage, take the crits this is on average a million per hit.
- have a LMG with 65k damage per shot and 850 SPM
- every single enemy takes a ridiculous amount of damage. I mean, i literally shoot 5 minutes to get one down.
- reinforcements all die in the first 5 minutes of the battle
- if an enemy lands two shots at me, i'm knocked out
I left TD1 because of the ridiculous...i mean RIDICULOUS bullet sponge mechanics. This isn't Tom Clancy, this is stand-face-to-face-and-hold-fir-10-minutes-gameplay.
Is this REALLY the game you are working on? Is this intended to be fun?
I would like to get better gear to solve these situations, but i can't. Two hits and i'm dead.
It's 1:1 the same as TD1: you have a BRILLIANT engine. SUPERB graphics. EPIC audio. FANTASTIC look-and-feel controlling the character.
But you really fail on delivering a gameplay that stands on par with all of this? Massive, come ON. The bullet sponge maechancis are no fun.
Repeat: BULLET SPONGE MECHANICS are NOT FUN. Give them a billion shots in the face and die if you get hit 2 times?
This is stupid. And while playing it FEELS stupid. Massive, you have to consider a totally different way than sponging bullets. This mechanic will move players like me away from your game...which i really, really want to succseed, but for this you have to take the bullet-sponge remains of TD1 out of TD2.
