Bullet Sponges, All gear nerfed, Soloing Content

I’ve tested a offense, armor and skill build mixing up talents here and there, left and right and I genuinely feel that soloing content past hard difficulty without a t6 skill build is waaaaaay too difficult. I had over 60% weapons damage, 45% Crit Chance and 50% Crit damage on the Negev Lmg, which devs stated is doing 50% more damage then intended, and on solo challenging it will still take me at least 1 entire magazine of 150 rounds that are also being amplified by the intimidate talent, just to kill one single elite enemy, and that’s not even a named elite. The current damage and armor scaling is just bull sh/it. So I thought maybe I’ll try to make a Tank build to soak up more damage. I had 1.3 million armor, 350k health and even on HARD mode, I was being downed within 3 to 4 shots from a Hyenas SMG, that was about 35m away from me. That is so unbelievably broken. On top of that, they made all the enemies much more aggressive, which I think is a great change, but if you need to use to more than 150 rounds just to kill a sinlgle enemy that’s rushing you, chances are you’re dead before you even get a chance, it’s just not fun to play whatsoever.

And whoever at the dev team thought it was A good idea to essentially nerf all of our gear for this “revamp”, should seriously reconsider their position. I don’t know bout any else on here, but one of my biggest appeals to the division was the insane depth and diversity you could have when creating builds. 2 talents on weapons, 3 on exotics and each amor piece could have at least one talent. That was awesome, but now only having two talents maximum for your gear feels absolutely horrible. And I’m sure someone agrees, ALLof our exotic weapons got nerfd. Every single one. Pestilence rework feels horrible, merciless rework feels horrible, Nemesis feels ok, but it was stripped of a very good talent, Chameleon which just recently got released was nerfed.

Devs, ya messed up big time.

And before anyone on here says it

Do not say something like “oh well you should just learn how to play the game” or that “So you want 2second TTKs back then” No, stfu please. Some of y’all on these forums are stupid. If you don’t agree with my statement, don’t be here or atleast be respectful about it, I’m just giving everyone my own twosense and my opinion on how the current state of the game feels. But a lot of other players feel the same way as well.

I think most people can agree the TTK in PvE was extremely fast and the hard, challenging and even heroic content was decently easy to run solo or with a group, so I think it needed to be adjusted to be more difficult. But now we’re in a state where it will take me 150 rounds to kill a single enemy where that same enemy can kill me with 5. It just doesn’t make any sense. The Player and the NPC enemy should be on a relatively balanced playing field. But now the favor heavily swings onto the enemy side. It’s not hard to play. It’s not a challenge. It’s just boring and not entertaining. No other PvE looter shooter game has this ridiculous amount of enemy scaling. Destiny has a pretty balanced playing field. WarFrame can have stupid scaling, but that’s only due to the fact that enemy levels get higher the longer you play a mission, and tbh, it will take you at least 3-4 hours for enemies to become op, so that’s fine. Borderlands can be challenging, but not on the extreme levels like the Division currently is.

The developers stated that they didn’t want the insane bullet sponge enemies form the Division 1 to come back ever again. Well theyre back.

And please don’t anyone tell me that bullet sponges are good for the game. No they’re not, that is such a simple minded way of defending these developers like a white knight. If you enjoy bullet sponge enemies, trust me when I say you are in the minority with that statement. Do I think that enemies should have been harder to kill in this update compared to pre warlords, yes, but to the extremes they are currently? Hell no.

Devs you need to find a good middle ground, right now is is way too far in the enemies favor.

I absolutely agree with you. It just not fun to play when you have to shot more than 200 bullet AR on elite enemy with HARD global difficulty in heroic control point.
They need to reconsider bull Sh/it the enemy have on balance like a shotgun shoting from 45 meters with full damage.

Yeah, it’s absolutely ridiculous, and it’s like there’s no flinch on the enemies either, they’ll stagger for half a second after 100 bullets like wtf. I don’t understand how they messed up so hard

Seriously could not agree more with your sentiment. If the game were to use different enemy charging patterns it would be good enough with a little bump to their accuracy. At this moment it is just being much and the problem here is not having the enemies being enjoyable to counter and kill. Instead, they are just simply way too hard to kill. Even when an elite is just standing in the open, could easily take up to a couple of AR mags to even down them with mostly Red stats build.

I hope the Devs looks into this and try to find a middle ground...

Honestly I don’t even want to touch the game anymore, it’s like what’s the point

Absolutely agree with you, I couldn't believe they were nerfing gear today instead of the AI. There's nothing wrong with a challenge but enemies are sponging way too much right now.

Sadly there are some people who will come here and tell you you're wrong, you don't know how to play etc. just ignore them. A lot of these people spend weeks here at a time prowling the forums for people they disagree with just for an argument and then spend days at it, changing their points etc. It takes a proper special mentality for special people to do that.

I know people who’ve got nothing better to do than to feed their ego, so far though everyone has been pretty logical and not some dumb a/ss, who is a self proclaimed Pro at the game, so much love to y’all who aren’t toxic when we’re just trying to get devs to respond because we care about this game

My biggest concern is that if developers do not fix this, it could genuinely kill the Division 2, lots of people meme about dead games blah blah, but I honestly think if this stays how it is it will kill off most of the player base to this games, which really would be a shame.
