once we get min maxed then we can say that seems off, if hard is to much for people then set it to normal and run around having fun with that, at hard i am having no issues with enemies and i am just starting to min max my different builds a few god rolled smgs and such for shield build, and trying to get liberty so i can try out Bullwark shield again, skill build atm my seeker cluster mine not that viable still would have liked they changed airburst into a specific target rather than area of effect so it could seek out the target and if destroyed would blow up were it was and not just fall apart.
I tried running challenging but my skill build got "owned" constantly and my lmg build i have not tried that yet, i stick with hard for the time being because i am also just out exploring but you can feel the combat is difficult if you get the unfortunate one of a heroic cp 4 and all of a sudden an elite supply convoy shows up, you can either cut and run or try and fight through it, my biggest issue is the heavies with no weak point the melee rushers up until i began using ensnare on them with lmg i am running gunner so i have the riot grenade at least i think it is gunner but anyway i have a build with foam grenade that ensnares enemies and that helps, we now have to rely on our skills and even grenades again, we used to do that in heroics in the division before everything got min maxed and they nerfed content so casual players could also do heroic.
We threw incendiary nades to block a flank off when we got rushers and we placed shield barriers to protect our selves from enemies that flanked so for me this feels like old times with less armor repair "Healing" and i love this whole pucker effect at times it makes it more fun, if i wanted a casual running around experience i would set it back to normal and no directives on.
I couldnt remember the password on my account so I made a new account just to comment on this. This def has to be a thing. I am a long time div 2 player. I have over 46 days of game time on my main character. Been building my own builds since day 1. Over 200 raid clears. Made boomer hs builds that hit for 25mil, one shot razorback builds without copying YouTube builds. I have an almost fully optimized seeker build hitting for over 3mil. They take 1 bar of armor off an elite in a challenging mission. 1 bar! I browsed YouTube and saw crap builds solo heroics. My current damage build is 59% crit chance, 128% crit damage and 3 out of 6 pieces at max weapon damage roll. Other 3 being at least 75%. Talents are both damage boosting talents. My smg has max weapon damage, 19% crit chance and 6% damage to armor. I am hitting for 380k+ when crit. Yet it takes me 3 clips to down an elite on challenging. I also have 700k+ armor. I peek my head out for one second from cover and I am dead. Literally 2 hits from adds insta kill me.Originally Posted by sasho_ss Go to original post
You misunderstand...I do not have the expansion. It was tongue in cheek. It feels like I am battling level 40 NPCs with my level 30 gear. TTK is off the charts. NPCs bob and weave like they're Mohammed Ali and act like whack-a-moles whenever a reticle is positioned over them. I've seen cheetahs on the hunt move slower. Their ability to slide sideways puts James Brown to shame. In other words, it's a tough row to hoe...Originally Posted by Angry_Gekko Go to original post

This is a perfect explanation of the problem most of us are having.. Bear in mind that this is REGARDLESS OF DIFFICULTYOriginally Posted by willyvic Go to original post
And are you by any means playing on PC?
Is the global difficulty available to vanilla players or only in the expansion?Originally Posted by willyvic Go to original post
I'm still curious how they decide to do this again, after experiencing how poorly it played out in Division 1 1.3/1.4?Originally Posted by OsirisOTO Go to original post
I solo'd a level 3 checkpoint (challenging) last night and I wasn't even using a full set of level 40 gear. I also ran some challenging bounties with 2 randos. The difficulty felt right to me. It was just the right amount of challenge. I've read a lot of complaint posts and was getting pissed off, but now that I've actually tried some of the content I'm not really seeing a problem with the scaling. Is it possible that the game is bugged for some (many) people?
