Lvl 40 skill builds / players chime in

I have noticed skill haste took a big hit.

Some talents to consider are tech support on BP and skilled on chest.

For me it's back to basics for explosive seekers with grenade launcher, teir 6, 2 piece China LT and 4 HW. 5/6 crafted lvl 40 pieces.

My seekers are still at 30 sec CD with 1.8 mil damage and stringer hive at 3 second recharge.

My stringer hive does more damage then seekers overall life of hive. 17 charges total.

The mods are the biggest disappointment for me. Seems they got the skill haste wrong again. Although the shd skill tree will take some time but one can make up some haste on that side. Not sure by how much.

For skill builds to be viable on this patch haste and base damage need to be looked at. Once again we will need a skill build patch.

Mods are a complete disaster. I had only top end mods previously now, mostly ****.

They do scale some as you level up. Nothing too great. My best is 8.9% sh. Lol.

The library is nice. I suggest dumping talents and core attributes as you go to lvl 40. Some of my clan were trashing them. Seems inefficient. I have a lot of the main ones I used previously already.

On a side note, how does one up the map level once the story is complete?

If you go for 4xHW (include backpack and chest!) you don't really need Skill Haste, spec in Skill Damage instead. You can also forego one of the CLIC in favor of Wyvern (Skill Damage)
SHD tree will add another 10% of skill haste (and damage), but it will take bloody ages to get there.
If you go to the map, there's a menu at the bottom, 'Z' (or whatever the button is on consoles) will allow you to set difficulty and directives.

I used HW atm until i can get skill haste on other items atm my skill cooldown is already down to 12sec for sniper turret and 17sec for repair drone.

Running with Exotic backpack and with Chest with firearms buffs on it, so 5 skill items on and one firearm buff and running technician to get the 6 skill tier and i would say i love my sniper turret now, it packs a punch and eats armor on most of the mobs and since it tracks what you are generally aiming at it can do headshots and even activate weak points.

I am using a mix of Skill haste and Skill damage.

not far past lvl 40 so i cant add much but my haste is crap on the clusters for sure. 33 secs i think but ive not really gotten into too much. Damage seems ok even as they neutered the BTSU and made them into a placeholder in my stash for eternity but whatever. Assault turret seems to be the mvp so far in my build but again, i havnt tried much but probably wont, those are the skills i like to run and ill find a way to make them work. Gonna take a minute to get used to all the new numbers as you can look on paper and think, wow, that is killing it but then you get into the real world and a normal cp4 has you hiding and emptying what seemed to be 20 clips into the elites.

It's hit and miss for me.

Bounties on challenging -> get my *** handed to me every single time. Bullet sponges and massive incoming damage.
Missions on challenging -> sometimes walk in the park, sometimes multiple wipes. Elites go down like flies one go, need multiple mags the other.

Haven't tried CPs yet, but will give that a go later.

Yep and im sure it will get better. Id much rather have to figure it out and adjust on my end than to simply be able to plow through the content like its not even there.
