    Difficulty is perfect

    Finally had time to finish NY last night and jumped right into challenging tidal basin with 3 friends that were 20 levels ahead of me. We struggled all the way to wyvern but never wiped. Then failed like 10 times only making it to the final phase 3 times. I haven't played a mission in a month and a hf because they were so stupid easy so this was extremely rejuvenating for me. I just hope it doesnt get to easy once I've had time to min/max some builds.

    Tell me did u put Global Difficulty and Directives? If not then u cant talk that is perfect bud. Cause its not. And i'm not talking about AI or enemies hitting like a truck, but Bullet Sponge is there and its not fun and they know that since Division 1.

    World difficulty and directives were introduced to make things more difficult based on how powerful we used to be, now they're just unusable.

    I see all these people say "oh, it took me 2 hours but it was amazing!"
    Do you think taking 2 hours for a mission is in any way acceptable?

    I'd rather take 1 to 2 hours than do it in 5 minutes, speed runs are boring as hell, with my previous Pre-2.0 build I could run a challenge mission anywhere between 5 to 10 mins (that was boring as hell) no challenge at all.

    Now in DC after the update and with all the complaints of it being too hard even in the open world I tried an ELITE Territory (Black tusk with a named tank) my build was a put together what I found build (13K damage/170K armour) I cleared the ELITE territory in 5 minutes 30 seconds approximately without dying once., heck I recorded it and put it up in here.

    The conclusion from me and others it seems the open world and possibly missions (IN DC) could be bugged hard for some and easier for others.

    PS: on a side note Destinys first Raid took 24 hours to complete by a good clan working together

    Give it time. People need to come up with builds and have to unlearn several bad habits that they picked up from running pre-TU8 Challenge blindfolded. Once they do that they'll be putting on some directives no doubt. Difficulty needed a desperate adjustment. I do think there will be another balancing update later on.

    I love the current state of it and i get hammered on challenging alone atm because i have a skill build, it might take me a few tries to get a mission done but the game is no longer a steam roll everything type of deal so it is just how i like it, and i am running with no armor regeneration on.

    If its fun ...group had a good time and "rewarding" then yes. I would spend 2 hours in mission over the 5 min borefest it used to be any day.

    Oh and by "rewarding" I do not necessarily mean loot.

    I would rather it was 40 min to 1 hour and 30min compared to the current 2hours with a bad group, and before it used to be just 10 minutes we had on a missions, and we will get down to 40 min and 1 hour 30 min i believe once our gear is a bit more tweaked, i enjoy this feeling of it being more of a challenge, we could steam roll anything before now i feel like i have to fall back redeploy a new method maybe different skills and even change up my weapons depending on what mob i run into, i love the big heavies now make you go ohh s..t and you need to rethink your approach.
    The game feels a lot better to me does it suck for a casual players with maybe very little time sure it does, however it feels great for players who want a challenge and some actual tactical retreat and redeploy to get through missions, so hell yes i do not find it bad that i can take up to an hour to complete a mission, i would however not mind teaming up with clan members to try heroic and more challenging missions with them running those with directives on, they just need to get to lvl 40 and get some gear before that is going to happen.
