    Relative power

The announcement of World Levels and World Directives was very well received because the Open World as it was was way too easy.

That is relative to the power we used to have.

Now that the enemies have become this tough who would use those options but the most dedicated hardcore players?
They were meant to add challenge, now it seems normal is already a challenge...

We need to be powerful in order to use option to make the game more difficult, if the difficulty is whack from the start those options will be left untouched.

I'll just going to say your thread will attract those people that have no clue of what this actual means and just say "farm better gear" or "get good"

This is literally DC where everything feels a scale up version of some difficulty that wasn't meant to be fought with existing gear now.

Level 40, SHD level 2 player here. Currently playing the DC open world solo at 'Challenging'. Ran a couple of bounties, did some activities. Yes, it's hard. But considering I'm at a very unoptimized build and have little to no SHD level I think it will get a lot easier over time. I certainly don't get one-shotted, though two-shotted definitely happens. And that's with a skill build, so I have very little armor relatively (650k or so).

Decent SHD level will take a long grind though. But yeah, you're right, those levels are not for the casual players. Which is not a bad thing by itself, since people asked for higher difficulty. But the lower difficulties should be fine for more casual players.

And non-expansion players are pretty much screwed.

Those difficulties are the reason why I bought the expansion.

I thought the game would shift but still be about the same in terms of relative power, but it's not the case. The enemies have been scaled way more than the players and right off the bat the game becomes way more boring than it used to be if most of the time I have to stay in cover using reapir kits because I get pretty much 2 shotted.

We used to be powerful, so something like an "enemies have special ammo" directive would make it interesting, as of now that directive is pretty much not playable because you'd almost constantly be unable to do anything.

Or you play with a dedicated healer, which means solo players can just go play something else.

I'm struggling from Roaming enemies alone. My gear altho is not decent its still viable but somehow rather everything is scale way off the charts making everything feel like a bullet sponge and hits like a truck (imagine taking a bullet and 20% armor is gone from a bullet alone)

If you got the expansion you're good. Just finish the story content, then head back to DC. Once I reached L40 and started optimizing my build a bit more the new difficulty settings became playable.

It's the peeps that don't have the expansion that got screwed really hard with this update.

What level are you at currently? I'm not experiencing this from roaming enemies and my armor sucks since I specced everything into skill.
