Serious question.
I always had to manage 2 accounts. My son plays with me and he could never craft a build. He could run one, but he's a young kid and it was too much for him to understand, understandably.
Then there's the flashing of exotics in the sotgs nonstop past few weeks. I don't need to go into detail about flashing candy and shinies to kids.
The cartoon thing releases last week....
Then of course there's the removal of speech last year like, "Eff the division!!!!"
They going after Fortnite money? Game seems simple enough now, I mean, all things considered.
They will never listen to us until we leave the forums, and leave the game for good. They think this is so good, but just wait until there is no one playing the raid is what I say. This is the death of the Division 2 and the developers are enjoying this. They like destroying everything to fit there own needs, but they never do anything that is good for the players. So in all honesty save yourself the breath this is just going to make you so pissed of that you get sick. Happened to me, and personally since after the division 1 ubisoft massive has been dropping the ball on every major update/release. Thats why they had to sell the game for 3 dollars which idiots bought into, and now they are just as screwed as the old players like yourself and myself. Although this is a good sign for people who are angry about the game. It gives us the opportunity to play something else. Instead of investing time in this steaming pile of camel dung.
Well, he never gets suspended or even been in a fight. He won the Kiwanis award actually. Always helpful, has good manners, and is very responsible. He looks out for his older brother who is disabled. He's earned the right and has seen 100 Xs worse online withbhis buddies. He gets the best grades he can and rewarding his maturity with maturity has seemed to only keep the trend going.Originally Posted by Craig1405 Go to original post
So no, I'm being serious.
And in mine. But some of those lines have been removed because they were "too harsh".Originally Posted by CassiousCloud Go to original post
Protect them from what? Guns and violence and some swear words - all of which they'll experience through peers at school, TV and Internet before age 10 anyway? Why hide something like this from kids anyway? Violence and profanity is part of our world - and them learning its wrong sooner than later sounds like a good thing to me.Originally Posted by Neo_Intended Go to original post
I let my son and daughter play games with me and helps me establish the real lines between fantasy and reality, what is and isn't acceptable. If anything more parents should be exposing their children to this stuff at younger ages to prepare them for the real world and help them develop that veil of morals.
The only time I'd say otherwise is if the game was riddled with genuinely sexually profane content. Even nudity in media I wouldn't hide from my kids.
Serious answer: Yes you are, on both accounts. You can bring the founding fathers into it but it does not change what you are preaching. Please don't bring your "twisted political correctness" ideology into this. Try another title, no? You make no sense and appear to be "preaching to the wrong choir".Originally Posted by aimswcontroller Go to original post
To be blunt: You and people like you want to "bend' reality to "their will" when you really need to adjust to it. Simple. Now stop flooding the forums with your incoherent ********. You want to "voice" your opinion? Try GTA... learn basic grammar while at it.
The links between video game violence, profanity, and drug use leading to exhibiting that same behavior is not proven. Any "evidence" or studies will be quickly shown to be anecdotal and/or executed/interferred with bias.
This game, like the far majority of others, puts the player into the role of "good" versus clear and obvious undeniable "bad".
While I respect that others may not choose to allow their "kids" to play this (or any other game), I won't pass judgment on their fitness as a parent, or how their children are going to end up in real life. Even though I strongly disagree with the idea that you can shield or censor evil away from your kids or that it is in their best interests to do that.
That said, to answer the question.... my kid picks up on the game mechanics and build concepts quicker than I did. The presumption that the game s build is (was) above a kids comprehension is not entirely a true assumption.
I think the cartoon released a week or two ago had more to do with Ubisoft having animators on staff. I always loved the comic book style animation in the beginning of Far Cry 5 Hours of Darkness. Even though I don't really get into comics or hand drawn animation. But it is a visual art form I can certainly appreciate.
I am not aware of any censorship changes made to the in game dialog, but if that was done it was probably not due to a desire to re-market the game to target kids. There is no nee, and it would be a huge public opinion mistake to do that. Because any kid that plays any video game then later commits an act of gun violence, that is going to be blamed on the video game by many. And the studios that target kids through marketing and what not are going to be villainized. .
That's your choice. But I see no sense in it. From what you say, the experience of your children is multiplied, and that leaves a mark.Originally Posted by lagrue Go to original post
What comes next, boot camp, or survival training? There are many ways to raise a child, and protection does not mean to ignore the world.
Never mind! To each their own.
