Those things you're saying are "feedbacks". Be constructive, and it's ok if you "complain" about something; "this thing doesn't work, what about if it was that way?" that's a propositive conversation. Instead, there are so many ppl complaining after just 24 hours from the release

To everyone giving people a hard time for complaining, it's kind of a fair complaint, honestly. Yeah they changed everything, yeah, some builds that were meta aren't as good anymore, yeah that's not a great reason to complain, but the way they went about this gear refresh is incredibly punishing to all preexisting characters. The new system is an improvement, but the retroactive changes to everyone's gear is really the problem here. Necessary, yes, but executed well, it was not.

It absolutely noodles everyone's existing gear, even non meta gear like my build, changes all the stats to be low, and undoes all recalibrations, throwing you into the new and, honestly, improved recalibration system, but without giving us any kind of head start on the recalibration library. We start from scratch there, just as someone still leveling and JUST unlocking the recalibration system would...except we're in WT5 and everything is harder, and getting that edge through recalibration is much more important.

The problem isn't the new system, the problem is that the new system's retroactive changes force existing players and builds to start over almost entirely from scratch, and not be effective in combat until every old piece of gear they had is replaced with new gear intended to have the effect they originally desired in their old gear. Fresh out the gate from this patch, I went to do the hard mode daily mission, and it honestly felt like a heroic because everybody had **** gear. A heroic bounty took almost an hour or more just to finish the final part to kill 3 named dudes, requiring the squad to respawn and run back while 1 player stayed dead to prevent it from despawning.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a **** show, but they definitely didn't handle the transition into the new system very well. Given enough time for people to rebuild their characters, everything will likely be right as rain, and we'll forget this all happened, but until then, people gonna complain, and rightfully so.

So... how they had to implement these changes without TOUCH or "destroy" players builds? If you have a solution, than you're right. Otherwise... too easy to complain without having a solution. If you change an entire system, it's IMPOSSIBLE that previous build will still works... it's not just a "we changed little bonuses, some minor cooldowns" and stuffs. it's an ENTIRE new system... it's not possible that they're compatible... can you understand this?

Actually, I started pretty good with the recalibration library. i had a lot of items on my inventory, i saved a lot of items for their bonuses. Now, i didn't know they would change gears that much, still.. i had a great start. I'll work on a build after i'll end wony main story, still... I have plenty of things in recalibrations right now, and i just started. And, if you play through wony, you'll have plenty of items from missions to start your recalibration pool.

Don't have the expansion? no problem... there will be seasons in DC as well and stuffs. So, ok, probably it's a shame that you need to restart from the scratch... but Idk how they could do this without these type of problems.

"gift us some recalibrations on our pools based on our actual gearsets" yea, sure.. .then other ppl would complain 'cause... "something". "it's unfair that they have this and we don't".

VERY WELL SAID.. The transition and communication was horrible.. And I'm not sure the game is truly playable without the DLC - yes you can play it, but not well. There's no incentive to play the game without the DLC which is sad..

What I think will play out is the gear system will be better than before, but the lack of content to make the rebuild worth it will be the issue. Obviously, the rework of the gear was a ton of dev work and the fact they got new content out at all was great.. but sitting here, it makes sense to wait for the next content drop or game modes or something and grab this DLC at discount...

on the contrary, this is basically, "eliminate the meta-construction" the devs said, "we want more variety in the game, that any construction is viable, for the various modes offered by the game" Why do you think the meta-build was removed? because it suppressed that variety that was wanted from day 1
