Lightweight M4 and LVOAC? What happened?

    Hey,

So I have around 600 hours in TD1 and I used to rock the LVOAC or lightweight M4 as a prime choice for DPS builds. As many other TD1 vets.

So I come back on TD2 and I'm excited to see you brought those weapons back...until I started firing.

What is this crap? Low RPM, bad handling, the talent system does not allow for further tweaking, same for mods (we used to be able to loot rof mods)...

I'm also a veteran in real life (Army 11B) and there are a few discrepancies here.

First of all starting 2016-2017, we started replacing M16A1s and semi-auto M4s with full auto M4s. So RPM should be higher for M4s.

The LVOAC (also full auto) is used by Deltas and private contractors as they cost around 2000 dollars a piece. There is a reason for it. First of all they use .223 Wylde (7.62) rounds not 5.56!

So attachments for the LVOAC should be 7.62 and base damage should be higher than other ARs.

LVOACs also have a slightly better range than most ARs. So the drop off should occur further out.

Those weapons need a serious overhaul and so do the skills. Also is there any HK45? I didn't see any.

Everyone used them in D1, so decided to turn them from ARs to just rifles.

I just got back in late, life circumstances...That's kind of a bad move because they are very popular with many players. Also SHD isn't supposed to be a civilian agency. It's still a governmental unit.

I don't know. Doesn't make any sense to me.

Well they are acquiring gear on the field, not bringing their equipament from previous time

Yeah it's called on site procurement in special forces. The gear is still military.

It needs to be fixed anyway because no weapon should be useless, regardless of its type. Some of us like particular designs and handlings.

If you want an auto M4 I suggest the Police M4 or Custom P416 G3. Both have decent damage and fire rate. I actually like the Lightweight M4 as semi-auto. I think it is a great gun. As a Vet myself I prefer Semi-auto weapons in video games

Also where did you get your info? The LVOA is chambered in 5.56 and .223 Wylde. Pretty sure .203 Wylde doesn't exist.

The weapon replacement thing is confusing also. Keep in mind I was in the Navy and out in 2014, but ALL M4s can fire in Semi-auto. That's the biggest difference between the M4 and AR15. AR-15s ONLY fire in Semi-auto. M4s are select fire Semi/3-round burst, and M4A1s are select fire Semi/Auto. Also I was under the impression the M16 was phased out in favor of the M4 in like 2004 because of length difference.

I mean don't forget you are talking about a game where you can shoot 200 bullets into someone and they will walk at you as if nothing happened.
