Did you experience Title Update 6, and did you buy WoNY? If you have - stay with it, complete the manhunt and then you can say something about it. Attention to detail pays, as always. And stop being negative, it harms you at most.Originally Posted by aimswcontroller Go to original post
The most common recurring complaint about the game was the gear. This needed to happen. And why "properly" convert it? Even if you didn't get the expansion the score goes to 515 so you were going to need new stuff anyway. I played both division games since launch and I'm happier the way this game is now. Quite frankly I think people are just upset they didn't get to keep their high rolls. I wasn't lucky enough to get that 30% armor roll last summer when it was for sale. But the fact that you couldn't ever get it was upsetting.
I had several builds before the update that got wrecked and took a great deal of time to put together, particularly an SMG clutch build that could facetank and win almost every time even against AR clutch builds. I had a skill hybrid LMG build that made the raid child's play. All that's gone but I don't care. I'll make new builds. Pve now offers some challenge and pvp is more even. Can't argue with that.
I am also very happy about the change. FIrst it took me some time to get used to 'losing' all you best skill mods you collected over the time, but i'm fine with that.
Before the change the game had become way too easy. You could just Seeker + BTSU everything. Now the game is challenging again and build diversity is a thing.
Please just don't nerf things too much again in the future!
Ok. You’ve been peddling the same stuff and attempting to make your point for hours now. Why waste the effort if it’s garbage and irredeemable at this point?Originally Posted by aimswcontroller Go to original post
Yes, you feel like you’ve been “lied to” and “scammed.” Ok, fair enough, we’ve heard it. It’s not discussion at this point, it’s just you going into every thread you can arguing with anyone you can.
Fine, you’ve been scammed. You’re right, file a lawsuit, complain to your local consumer protection agency. Good luck with that. Then get some sleep.
I was very excited to get to try gear 2.0 but I must admit I've been deeply disappointed.
I have yet to see level 40 gear, but seeing my 197% Hive radius mod transformet to 4.5% health, and later on finding a +2% Hive radius... I mean, what use do mods have anymore?
I thought mods would make skill usable for players who specced into weapon damage or defence, and great for people who specced in tech... but they're pretty much a joke.
I've been playing with an AR up to level 34, I could not get past that since I could not advance the story, but if that's it all the builds will pretty much be identical, not even concentrated around a specific weapon because they will all be interchangeable.
I have no problems playing with weapon damage, it's what I've been doing for most of the time I played the game, but I was expecting inventive new talents to build around, intead they're pretty much the old talents with a bit of flavour changes.

"After watching up and reading up, not only do I think WoNY is going to be one of the best expansions I've seen in awhile, I think I was wrong about a couple of my assumptions.
2016, 2017, and 2019 were just horrible years for gamers as consumers. We were completely mislead by Hello Games and No Mans Sky, I was an unfortunate recipient of the Fall Out 76 grocery bag, and I don't even want to talk about how Anthem made me cry. Those were just my experiences. That doesn't include what we seen with Battlefront and EA and with Ubisoft's own Breakpoint on release. I think maybe I've just been burned and was a little paranoid, even cynical coming into 2020. I guess when I seen some of the details of the expansion for TD2, I unfairly misjudged Massive's intentions.
I thought maybe they gave us 2 libraries to force us into buying the expansion, that doesn't appear to be the case. I thought maybe gear 2.0 was just pandering to the old guard of D1, that doesn't appear to be the case. I and many others have had our concerns, but it's understandable when you have to piecemeal everything together, and have seen what the industry has turned into.
I haven't called for anyone's head, I haven't insulted the people at Massive, I haven't said I felt ripped off, or anything of that sort. I have however, been kind of vocal past week and wanted to take the time to pay it forward and say one thing,
"Dear Massive, thank you. I feel for well intentioned developers today, I really do. Everything you do is under a microscope and you have to deal with one of the most vocal and obnoxious consumer bases in the world. So, thanks man. Me and my son have LOVED our time in DC. It's been some of the most fun times we've had in a game. That means something us because of what he's had to go through for the past 5 years. Gaming is kind of our oasis it helps him heal. That means something to me as a father, so I wanted to take the time and say thank you for not being greedy dicks."
All the best, Aims
PS - Looks like I'll see you guys and gals in NY soon!"

Hey I get it, sometimes the Developers need some backing up so they make another account and post from there. Cool story man.Originally Posted by jmart83 Go to original post
