Weapon Damage Reductions following Warlords of NY update

I posted this in the wrong forum (Division 1) earlier today...

Is anyone else experiencing damage reductions to their weapons post Warlords of NY update? All of my weapons took a hit, but the one I'm the most troubled by is my high end classic M1A. Pre-update it was doing 31k damage before equipment boosts or mods, post update it's at 23.8k. Ubisoft support says they have not heard this problem from anyone else, and have given me the tired "clear your cache, reinstall the game" fix. I'm reinstalling now, but I have to work and won't know until tonight if the problem was solved. I'd be willing to wager a decent sum that it will still be at 23.8k when I'm back in. It's unfortunate, as I hard to grind for a few days to get it. Should anyone be so inclined, please save the "classic M1A is a garbage rifle" comments - that's not really the issue at hand. Sorry if you are experiencing this damage reduction problem. It sucks, and I feel for you.

Everyone's loot got randomized and the new level 30 gear cap is 515 now, not 500.

You'd have had to replace your rifle anyway.

Yes, I think everyone experienced this, I sure did. I think the main reason is the talents that were on our previous gear sets increased that value and those mods and talents are no longer.
I do not think the base weapon damaged changed, but, again, I DO NOT THINK SO. someone else might have more of a insight on that part of it than i do.

I do know my 33.5K LMG went down to 22.1 and I was able to get it back to 27.5 with some work and re-calibration of mods and attributes

Thanks. I am new and was just confused. We shall adapt. I really appreciate the insight.

I hate this new system, my best weapons have been reduced to nerf guns and they did nothing to enemy health pools. So now I have to empty and entire clip from (what used to be) a max damage Famas into a red bar enemy for them to still be standing after the clip is empty. Honestly this is a little too disappointing, Ubisoft and Massive. I expected changes but this gear nerf is overkill

I knew that the weapons would at some point need to be replaced by new ones. The only items I was relying on to be updated were the exotics. Exactly how, I wasn't sure, but I knew it was coming. The problem I had, with the very little bit of game play I got to experience today, was like some of you mentioned here, the drop in damage from what we had a day ago dropped drastically. My base damage on my Eagle Bearer was about 26k and today it was down to 16k.

I thought maybe the enemies were tougher in NY, but I wasn't expecting our base damages to go way down. I guess I wasn't paying attention to the videos I watched about the changes. I did hear them talk about how AI would be different. I can usually solo challenges unless it's a stronghold. I had a very hard time on story level boss today. What a difference. Making the game harder and changing all the gear does not make it better. That's just my opinion. Hopefully we'll see some adjustments that are a little more realistic in the near future.

I like grouping up for PVE stuff, but I really enjoyed that Division 2 had a lot of content that you could do solo. Obviously I'm not the best player, but I did enjoy myself for a time.
