I'm sure you will be told 500 times you just need to "refarm" you gear.
What if I'm not even level 30 yet? Refarm what gear? Before this update I intended to get the 1 year pas and the WONY expansion. Won't happen now.

Ubi just couldn't help itself. Stealth nerfs are just too juicy for them.

Today I spent around 3-4 hours playing The Division 2 after the big update. Just the regular D2 stuff, I didn't buy the expansion yet. I'm ok with all the changes in gear, I already knew all my cool builds would be gone. So I made some adjustments with the gear I have (and I have a LOT of stuff) and off to the world I went.

But what I found out made me so frustrated I felt the need to stop playing to address some issues (aka ranting).

Players are back to being made out of glass. The amount of armor/health you have is irrelevant, if an enemy manages to flank you, you are DEAD in less than a second.

Enemies (including the regular red life ones) are spongier than ever. During the Saint fight in Grand Washington Hotel, I had to go back to restock TWICE. And it was on HARD!! Such a thing had never happened before. Well, GWH has a pretty useful restocking chest at the entrance of the scenario, but I'm pretty concerned with other missions: I believe some don't even have a restocking chest available.

And the elites: we're back to the time where you need to hit an elite around 25-30 times with a high damage rifle to kill them. That's not only beyond unrealistic, it's incredibly NOT FUN. Elite Medics now run towards you, kneel right in front of you, heal their fallen companion back to full, stand up and shoot you (taking away ALL of your armor and 75% of your health in a single shot) all while you repeatedly shoot them in the face with a rifle. Hadn't we stablished very clearly that this type of behavior isn't acceptable? Shouldn't enemies run for cover when shot at? Shouldn't they be staggered a bit with all the shooting, at least enough to prevent them from healing a fallen companion?

Also back are the times where shotguns damage you like they've been shot at point blank, when they are being shot at a marksman rifle's distance with about the same precision. Fun times (not!).

But the most ridiculous situation was when I was attacking a control point and an enemy kept shooting the minigun for over two minutes without pause. I even thought the overheat mechanic was removed, but when I tried the VERY SAME minigun later, it was overheating as usual. So now NPCs are breaking environmental rules? I even captured some of that in video because I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

And last but not least: shouldn't getting gear over score of 500 make me STRONGER? Because I'm 510 at the moment and I feel WEAKER THAN EVER!!!
Yes sir I am a gun nut and have some of my own. Let me tell you a Sig 716 is AR10 which is 308 cal if you shoot a med in the face he would go down.. Good point.

The blame should primarily go with Massive, they really have a stick up their butt when it comes to players not playing their game exactly how they want.

    They really do.
But ubi, and red fish (poser terry) are just as bad. They even get vindictive if players don't play as they say.

Well, I had thought while playing last night that something must be wrong with just "my" game as I only had 2 health kits when I started out to do a mission. I'm not as leveled as most of you because I took a break to play other games once I got to level 30 and had finished the campaign. I'm just WT2 and working toward 3, GS is around 350. I found out that I needed to be WT4 or 5 in order to start WoNY, so I'll have to wait since I did buy the DLC in advance.

With that being said, I did notice that I'm suddenly very, very weak compared to last week when I advanced from WT1 to WT2. I'm just glad it wasn't just me based on all the comments I'm reading here. I guess we can look at it as a reset, which game companies do on occasion to jolt the player base and make them "work" again to get kills and to force them to put together their god builds. I mean, a lot of you were saying the game was too easy prior to the DLC release yesterday. It seems GB did go a bit too far though with the bullet sponge AI, but I also guess they figure we'll sort it all out and end up with the gear to counter it. I start to worry when I read where some of you are GS 500-510 and are seeing the same thing. That doesn't bod well for my path from WT2 to WT5 in the coming days.

Just an FYI: with the preorder you got infinite level 30 boosts, that bring your char to level 30 WT5. If you have already done all the side missions there's no harm in using it (using it will make you skip all the side missions that will not be playable anymore).

Thanks for the info. I hadn't finished the side missions so working on them once I get into WT4. If I had known it was this easy to move up I would have done it right after I beat the campaign, but other games came out so I took a leave of absence from TD. Well I need to rephrase that. Easy, it is not. So many near deaths and "please don't panic, please don't panic" moments and so much damn fun!!!

I'm still on the lookout for a tubular slot mod for my shotty's but it has eluded me. It's currently locked and says I need to do a level 4 control point. Does that mean I have to do a control point while WT4?

I WISH it was just a matter of re-farming gear , I had 4 characters, all was full and their cache was full so had plenty to choose from when gear 2 dropped, but things have changed and it is not the same game i just can not get my head around it .
I played the expansion for about 35mins and it was easy to get to safe house and next mission but it does not feel the same and it is rotten to say the least , Second time i loaded i went to the whitehouse to setup my skills character , opened the recal station and turned of never looked at it again and never will now ..

The game is dead to me now , removing it and not going to look back ,

Well i can say thanks Massive for killing a great game , at least i will have time to do other things now and look at other developers and see whats out there . next games will NOT be from Ubi/ Massive thats for sure ..

Will miss ya, Hyper. I have not gotten the expansion yet. I have been busy playing around with the 515 cap. Aside from attempting to complete the missions and strongholds under the new "difficulty" parameters I have found myself devoting a lot of time hunting for max Core / Attributes / Talents to fill the new recalibration library. It has become a bit of a game in itself and keeps me busy for the moment. Swing by and drop a line once in a while....later.
