    Consistent periodic stuttering

I have just re-installed the game after not playing since launch. Now the game is stuttering every 10 seconds consistently. The only change to my computer has been a switch to a Ryzen 3600x from an intel i5-3670. It's very visible on the benchmark graph especially when I set the FPS lock to 75. It honestly looks like some sort of garbage collection issue, but I don't know enough about the dunia engine to be sure.

This stuttering happens at all times in game, from the start of the intro videos. It's easy to tell because the audio stutters at the same time.

I've tried upping the priority, set scalling by app, and running as admin (which breaks the uPlay launcher from being able to start the game) with out any success.

    Hey,

Sorry to hear your performance has changed since changing the processor. Of course you could probably change it back until you've finished with the game and it would hopefully go back to normal but I would suggest playing around with the in-game settings to try and improve it.

    Change the graphic settings
An easy way to boost performance is to tweak the display or graphic settings. To reach those, select Options > Video from the main menu.

Note that there's is a handy little graph at the bottom left of your screen showing the amount of VRAM available to your GPU, and the projected amount of VRAM the settings you choose will require. Getting over the available VRAM (also in SLI/Crossfire setups) will very likely result in slower performances.

There's a wealth of options for you to play with here, but we'll point out a few that may allow you to get higher FPS.

    Lower the resolution
You'll find the Resolution setting under the Monitor tab in the Options >Video menu. Try setting a lower one.

    Graphic Quality
In Options > Video > Quality: Try a lower quality preset.

    Other Settings
Don't hesitate to experiment with other settings in Options > Video: each has a different impact on performance, and you might find the perfect sweet spot for your system by tweaking different settings.
