Staff Picks - Feb 28

Greetings Riders!
After a week off we are back bringing you the best of your creations we've seen. Let's dive into this week's Staff Picks!
SHOGUN'S PICKS

Track: HD Remix Upwardly Mobile
Creator: Duke_of_Dirty
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Easy
Duke has been killing it with his HD remixes. He does a great job of recreating these classic drivelines and then recontextualizing them for the world of Trials Rising. This one takes the very simple indoor track Upwardly Mobile and brings it outside to a snowy mountain, a perfect setting for this track that is a steady climb up. The track is easy but getting a good time will require some solid control over airtime (or lack thereof). Take it for a spin today.

Track: (SX) The Lonely Road(EX)
Creator: Swel2931x
Mode: Ninja
Difficulty: Extreme
If you desire something a little different from your challenging Trials tracks, Swel has got you covered. This beautiful track is almost more adventure than trials but don’t let that fool you, it’s still a very difficult track to complete. It’s an “easier” take of the full ninja version created for Doughnut3000’s latest track building competition but these obstacles are still rock hard and on top of that might require a little extra brainpower as these aren’t the standard Trials obstacles you may be used to seeing in extreme/ninja tracks. There’s a lot to take in and more than a few surprises that I don’t want to spoil so you can enjoy them for yourself. If you find it’s a little above your skill level I recommend checking out some replays because this is one you won’t want to miss.
Shogun’s Honorable Mentions

Track: Tilt City
Creator: defvault
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Hard
I’m really enjoying the work of defvault who you may remember from the impressive Shibuya Crossing track we recently featured. This time we get a very interesting take on a Trials track with a much higher game camera and a shallow depth of field that gives the entire track the feeling of driving on a miniature. All of the background action is also sped up making it appear as though you are driving through a timelapse video of this excellently crafted cityscape. It’s a simple concept that is very well executed creating something I don’t recall ever seeing before in a Trials custom track. I would have picked this one myself but GUS beat me to it so check this one out this week in the Community Picks feed.

Track: Ice Up Your Life
Creator: RedlynxOfficial
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Medium
This is the latest track that I’ve built and released as part of our weekly Editor Stream. I usually try to avoid picking my own tracks but I’ve gotten more positive feedback on this track than any other Editor Stream release and at a fairly easy-medium difficulty it’s a bit more accessible than a lot of the stuff we find on Track Central. I like to highlight that type of content for newer players exploring the feeds. It also gives me an opportunity to promote our weekly Editor Stream. Want to learn more about the track editor? Maybe you just like hanging out and watching some creative action on Twitch. Stop by the RedlynxOfficial Twitch channel every Tuesday at 5pm EET and bring your Track Editor questions if you have any. I’m always happy to try and help our amazing community of track builders improve their skills.
DOC'S PICK

Track: Hastings, England 1066
Creator: adelimeat
Mode: Trials
Difficulty: Medium
Did you know that Trials riding can be traced as far back as 1066 in Hasting England? No? Well, prepare to be educated by A DELI MEAT! See how the English use to go Trials riding in this historic age, what dangers they use to encounter and what types of bikes they used to ride on. This may very well be one of the earliest recordings of Trials Riding, how far back does this form of extreme sport go back? I guess only you can really know!
Did we miss anything you feel deserved a shout? Let us know in the comments below! Until next time, Riders, we'll see you on the leaderboards!
