    Far Cry 4 launch delay/difficulties

    Hello

I've returned to play this game again but find that every time I launch it, it takes around 10 minutes to install V/Credist or some such. Every fricking time....

Oh wait! - on occasions (like now), it wants to install .NET Framework.... (3/5) and other related buddies, by which time the Crab Rangoon is getting warm and starting to go off.

I'm obviously a novice otherwise I'd be working in an IT-related job paying a six-figure salary. And I'd know how to fix this. But having got up to a bit too much fun in my 20's and not studying quite as hard as I should have at school; I find myself looking at the wrong end of my fifth decade and wondering if I shouldn't have started a pension plan in 1996.

Anyhoo, I use the Uplay launcher and any patient advice would be appreciated. I don't even mind if you roll your eyes (since I won't be able to see you do it)

    Thanks

you can find those runtimes in your far cry 4 support folder

what operating system are you running ?

and what are your exact system specs for your PC ?

the support folder is in your far cry 4 folder look on your PC for a folder called support in far cry 4

    program files X86 \ Ubisoft \ Ubisoft game launcher \ games \ far cry 4 \ Support \ software

    run all the microsoft ones

like net framework 4 and VC redist and DX

    then restart your PC

and make sure you run the game and uplay with Admin rights and verify your game install
also for other issues you may wish to look into, that may be the cause of your problem ...
