I want what the D2 community has.

We also want the same communication as D2, if the same game mechanics were implemented in GRB, we want the same communication.
Videos with the developers saying what they are doing.

    Would be great.

I agree, it's not fair that Ghost Recon only gets the worst aspects of Division mechanics (looter shooter, bullet sponge enemies) but none of the good features like communication and regular state of the game updates.

If we have to have every Ubi game resemble each other then go all the way and give us the good stuff too.

The comparison is actually very fair. Divison 1 went through HUGE issues, but during the process, their community managers and devs took the criticism front and center in each of the State of the Game videos and broadcasts. Eventually, D1 became a game that many people still love (and play) today. D2 started equally rough, with a combination of bugs, unbalanced gameplay, etc. If you look at D2 today, they have taken all of the feedback and made huge changes that MANY people are excited to play on March 3rd, and they have done over 100 State of the Game videos now, including a couple recently that lasted over 2 hours ! Now THAT is what we need in Breakpoint.

I would like to highlight an important point here. I hope that people have a strong understanding that many of the front-line developers are probably working super hard right now, but I strongly sense that their management is not willing to face the community and admit their mistakes. It is highly likely that certain managers rushed this game to market, notably prematurely.

Now, I am sure that everyone can admit or think of a time where we made material mistakes that impacted others, but as I learned long ago, when you make a mistake, you must do three important things:

    (1) APOLOGIZE for your mistake

    (2) FIX the mistake to the best of your ability

    (3) LEARN from your mistakes and try your best very not to do it again.

The jury is out on #2 and #3, and the community will judge Ubisoft Paris on whether or not the game is fixed, and if these lessons are remembered into the future !

    Cheers.

I'm with you there. This does not fall on the feet of the poor dev's that I am certain take great pride in their work and wanted to put something out that they could be proud of. Decisions like implementing looter shooter mechanics, or the adoption of a communication strategy for this game is not made at the dev level. Time for Yves to clean the management table with some better talent at that level I suspect.

While I'll agree communication is better, they can also be selective in what they respond to. The rendering issues on the PS4 for instance were horrible. Textures would take 10 - 20 seconds to load in at times after running down a street. Not so noticeable when running but if you stopped and looked at the buildings / objects, it was very noticeable. ......and annoying.

There was a thread on there for months with several folks posting videos and sharing information on their setups, etc. to try and help get a resolution. When someone from Ubi did acknowledge it, they acted as though it was the first time hearing about the problem. ......this happened a couple times by tthe way.

I finally saw them address the problem in their stream and it was brought up by the host with one of the devs in passing while at the office. They said it was going to be addressed in the next patch after that. ......never was and the problem persisted.

In the end, I had bought an external SSD for the purpose of expanding my storage. I knew some folks with SSDs said they didnt have this rendering problem and even a couple who bought SSDs in an effort to solve it (with success). I didn't buy my SSD for this reason but it did also solve the rendering problem for me too.

I don;t know if they ever fixed that issue for all those other folks as I didnt hang around on the forums much after that and quit the game a while later. .....not my cup of tea as I only bought it to team up with a friend.

.....so when folks compare Ubi's communication between TD2 and GRB, I (personally) can see where they have a point but I also see some of the same issues in how they interact with some of their community over there too.

And this is why I cannot hold Ubisoft in general responsible for this mess. Div2 has a lot of what this game really needed from a Developer team standpoint. regular communication and feedback are essential in a "Live Service" game. Obviously someone under the Ubisoft banner knows how its should be done.

Rather than boycott Ubisoft in general I simply intend to watch which studios are handling any particular property first.

The Delta team could try to convince the right ones, to start making some videos of the situation of the game. At first it will be very bad, it will rain very bad comments, but later on things will start to get better.

And everyone will want to watch it, it never hurts to try.

And what gives you the idea that the Delta Team has any say in what gets added, deleted or improve? As far as I am concerned, they have them tested things just for show (the peanut gallery so to speak), so they can come here and tell you that they have people from this community testing things now, that this is why they are behind the community 100% only to then backpedal when things are not what the assumptions or speculations were.

I hope I am wrong, I sincerely do but the math they are using does not add up no matter how you try to use different formulas to get to the correct answer.
