I think they need to consider what you’re giving up fo this new reward. There is both the lower progression and lower rank. So the star reward has to compensate for what is lost.

It would be worthwhile if they added a ceremonial dagger and maybe one other craftable weapon. Then in different weeks they could offer different ones or a gem that can’t be earned that week. Finish 2 sets to get a t2, 4 for a t3 and beat them all for t4.

The opportunity with the star rewards is to offer alternative prizes, but in order for us to bother they need to be worthwhile. Gems are easily obtainable either from loot missions or events so I think they shouldn’t be the main draw. Likewise for HC. The current DNA cube tokens (or whatever they’re called) are way too low. I don’t think it even gives you 1 cube.

So most of the current rewards are utterly pointless. If they gave us way more of those it might tempt me. The only other thing that would be worthwhile are the myrmidon spears or ritualistic xiphos. They are too rare currently and this would be an opportunity to get them in events where I don’t need DNA (which is all but 1 event).

I agree with Dan. There's not much incentive for even low level Brotherhoods to go for these rewards considering the cost to reward ratio.
The Greek weapons and greatly increased Helix would be the only enticement for end gamers, apart from being able to say "I got them all".
That was an expensive lesson for me!

    Ahh, that's what I figured.

Definitely seemed like going for the leaderboard was the better strategy.
