So I will be honest, For Honor is quite a fun game, until you come across those people who are consistently over 70+ ping, and it ruins the game quite a bit. Its worse that they always seem to play characters like Shugoki, Warlord and Warden. What I propose to the community and to Ubisoft...is a system to where you can flush out these players. It is a simple concept. If someone is over 70 Latency consistently for one minute in a single match, you should kick them out of the game, as they are ruining the game by lagging all over the place.
While anything that addresses the lag issue is an improvement this misses a number of issues.
People who download while playing:
These players will have constantly jumping ping between their normal values and 100+
They will never have over 70 ping for a minute. This is a fairly significant portion of people who lag.
Players who turn on lag whenever it suits them - usually when their opponent goes OOS:
Same issue - they wont have above 70 ping for a minute straight.
Anyone who hits over 100 ping during the game more than lets arbitrarily say 3 times OR has over 70 ping for 3 seconds straight - personally i feel the gameplayquality goes out the window at 50+ ping but yea - 70 ping means all the arabs, africans and eastern US people still get to infest EU servers... everyone is happy i guess....
GOOD ALTERNATIVE:
The current ingame lag compensation has what? 30ms total or 30 ms per player by adding input lag?
If we double that value we at least get more consistent gameplay. It will make reacting harder on average but at least there will be less skipping when playing people around 50 to 60ms.
And that way at least its fair for everyone.
