I am at a loss. I have spent money and been playing this game daily for years without ever encountering any issues like this.
Let start with what it isn't cause I know what the first comment will be ...it's my internet connection. Well it's not ...not only do I have a very stable fast internet connection with a high end router ...I tried disconnecting from it and downloaded over strong 5g signal.
Problem started after a "Samsung Members" app(which I never used once and came pre-installed on my S9) started eating storage data for no reason. I had left Phone Destroyer open on my phone as I often do for card donations ...and it got real laggy when I opened a free pack and when I tried to load to a different part of the game thinking that would refresh it the game gave me a warning about needing 111mb data for buffering ...so I closed out found the app that was causing the problem and wiped it off my phone. I reload game and it now has to "download assets" ...only that fails.
So I wipe the cache and try again ...and that fails. I uninstall, restart my phone and do a fresh install from the play store ...each time asset download is approximately 500mb ...each time it sails through around half and then starts saying "asset download failed". I hit the retry button(or it does it automatically on fresh install) and another chunk downloads before saying the same thing again ...then the chunks get smaller but I get through it to the end where it hangs without loading me into the game. I restart the game hoping that it will download the last bit it needs but it stays stuck at .01mb asset download.
My fear is that my save game data is corrupted. On reinstall/reboot it does link to my google play like normal.
I am a level 24 co-leader of Satan's Nomads which just hit Gold league last week ...my team relies on me. I am the highest ranking and responsible for coordinating and balancing cap spending to make sure unspent caps get automatically applied to priority cards using my own caps to sway.
I just posted the same thread. Exact same problem for me on my S10. I tried reinstall because I kept getting the profile change error and it would restart. Now assets failed. Tried everything I could find, which isn't much. Lot of complaints out there and no solutions. Game works fine for me on the same network using my galaxy tablet.
Looks like we're on each other's threads. Here's what I've tried so far. Hard reset, reinstall game and Google play, delete cache and data, different wifi(which is verified working) and data. I've been playing since the beginning too, my club just hit gold 2 weeks ago. Level 23
About to try on my old S7(soon as I charge it up) ...but that old phone doesn't do so well with this game
Have you gone back and tried a fresh install on your S10 after successfully getting it to work on your tablet? You didn't by chance also do a successful fresh install on your tablet? ...if not don't try it! That might break it there too!
