Is like someone's already pointed out.
There are some things in the core of breakpoint that can't be changed, they would have to start completely over.
I think that they should ditch breakpoint.
Go back to wildlands, they can build up on wildlands, add new options.
Bring only the good things from breakpoint:
Ability to shoot the pistols as fast as we can pull the trigger (we can't do this on wildlands)
new guns (with ballistic rework.)
Enemies don't die with 1 shot to the foot when you are undetected.
Some cosmetic items from breakpoint like: Boots, vest's, gloves (I like that the Oakley pilot on breakpoint don't get all bloated when you use it with long sleeve shorts), helmets, backpacks, the way to select night vision.
Being able to select melee weapons, selecting none means non lethal, selecting a knife means lethal. And bring over the animations too.
be able to remove the guns.
the hud options, sensitivity and control options.
Environment interactions, like the animation for climbing and going down hill, prone camo.
Animations, like going on low ready when you are near enemy (Our AI team mates do this already) our shooting stance.
Being able to remove the backpacks.
Be able to select night vision apart from helmet, but please keep the counter weight with the NVGs (the counter weight found on the Advanced ballistic helmet, from wildlands)
Wildlands is already more immersive as it is.
It's easier for them to build up on wildlands than it is for them to remove core mechanics from breakpoint.
They can even make breakpoint campaign a new menu selectable like ghost mode is.
Wildlands already don't have gear score.
They can add Auroa (as the breakpoint campaign) and rework the campaign to not include all the stupid drones, they can keep the azreal tho.
And screw the option to select dialog.
We have more face options and hair options already.
I can see only advantages in them doing this.
We already like wildlands more, this way (if they implement this well and over time, will have less bugs) we will be able to play the far superior campaign from wildlands with the addition of some nice mechanics from breakpoint.
It's a win win scenario.
And they can keep this game marriage for the next 5 years, adding updates and improvements, having more people buying it.
While they sort out the weed to avoid the next title being a failure like breakpoint.
Advantages that wildlands have:
Team mate AI is already in game.
Enemy AI is better.
already have several mechanics that we are asking to be ported over to breakpoint example: Holster weapons, reinforcements mechanics (I frankly feel more hunted on wildlands) and several others.
Vehicle handling is a thousand times better.
Better ballistic.
Gunsmith.
More face and hair options.
I went back to wildlands and frankly the graphics seem better to me in a lot of aspects (The clothes on breakpoint are better, but people seem more cartoonish in some aspects)
Guns handle better, you can walk with a proper speed while aiming and if you walk fast your aim bounces around.
Doesn't have the all time hated always online requirement.
As I remember things I'll add to this thread
Theres no denying, there are things breakpoint done better.
Things mentioned here.
But the problems with breakpoint, the things we want to get rid off, you can't, you will probably just hide the GS but it will still be in effect.
To get the game to a similar state to wildlands and only maintain the good things would be impossible to remove some mechanics from the modified engine, but in its core it's the same engine from wildlands so wildlands could be upgraded.
• Add the new clothes from breakpoint:
Add the boots, the new pants, the new shirts (but please keep the wildlands models of crye shirts),the new plate carriers (Replace the JPC from wildlands with the JPC from Breakpoint), the new backpacks (with the option to remove them), the gloves (please replace the wildlands Oakley pilot gloves with the ones in breakpoint so they don't get that weird bloated model when we use them with long sleeve shirts), add the new helmet models, the new glasses, allow us to change the NVG separately, to choose a Melee weapon (from the ones in breakpoint and port over their animations, since we now you can do that), add the new masks (you wouldn't have to worry with the complaints of not being able to use gas masks with helmets, because we already can).
• Add the good mechanics from breakpoint:
• Pistol trigger: We can shoot as fast as we pull the trigger, this is not possible in wildlands.
• Calibers: Tie the damage, penetration and recoil to calibers, create a range of damage that a particular caliber can make within different guns like (556 ASR damage range from 32 to 35, this will depend on barrel length and twist rate) and you get the idea.
Don't bring over that shenanigans poor excuse of " balancing" that nobody asked for that makes one of the 556 assault rifle have a super low damage but good mobility (No mobility in wildlands already excellent and we should be able to walk fast with all guns).
Sniper rifles would have a damage buff even tho being on the same caliber of some Battle rifles, this would be accounted by the special ammo and twist of the barrel so (7,62 SNR damage range from 77 to 80).
• Environmental interactions: Snowing and snow building up on the character, prone camouflage, the animations for climbing uphill and descending the hill, the way he walks on water.
• Animations: going on low ready combat stance when he hears the enemy, his combat stance (but the way he grips the pistol is better o wildlands, just bend his knees and have him lean forward when with the pistol), the usage of the handbrake and other nice immersive animations.
• Add auroa to wildlands as a new menu campaign option like narco roads and fallen ghost's.
With these changes you'd probably would do all of this way faster than trying to correct your mistakes in breakpoint, because everytime you try to fix something, something else breaks, you won't be able to deliver several things we are requesting because the changes you done in the engine.
But if you bring it to wildlands as an DLC (paid DLC for the people who didn't bought breakpoint) you'd get more people to buy breakpoint even as an DLC and you'd get the people who already bought it more satisfied.
Work on improving the wildlands breakpoint marriage, by adding new things into this game, and go on about improving it for years to come.
Be it graphical improvements or mechanical.
This way you'd get the people who didn't bought breakpoint to play it, and anything new (New game) you wish to make in the future, make as an DLC for this, with new things, maintaining all the nice things from both wildlands and breakpoint, until you create an better engine to make a complete new game.
This is a way to make more sales of breakpoint, please the Wildlands fan and GR fans that are dissatisfied with breakpoint and to rescue your own reputation
