True. I'd like to see some examples of games and DLCs/updates in which changes to the basegame denied players to keep one mere item or weapon as a useful item. Whether or not there will be examples - I still don't think that it is a good idea to interpret the "Endgame first!" promise as suddenly abandoning one endgame to introduce a new one. Endgame is endgame. If it isn't the end, it's just not endgame.Originally Posted by aimswcontroller Go to original post
Pretty sure that’s how it would work, looking for a dev tweet to confirm.Originally Posted by LMAO-C Go to original post
In regards to our current exotics being trash relax, that’s not the case and has already been confirmed by a dev
division1 did better with classy gearsets wheres classy ones was retro compatible with green ones but of course new 6pieces bonuses only available on 6 classy pieces together.Originally Posted by Anubis-Solitus Go to original post
why div2 devs dont learn nothing with div1?
Don't get me wrong guys. I've already pre-purchased WoNY from the first day it was available. I'm excited about new content. I just really don't understand why there would be another Eagle Bearer to attain. If they replace it with another exotic that is better, then it makes sense. Or if they have a way to upgrade it so they don't have to replace all those exotics, that's fine. At level 40 having all the old exotics worthless at that level, how many do you think will exist? A generic level 40 item will put all the old exotics to shame? They have one exotic for each type and that's it? Seems odd, no?
Try to understand my issue was not about change. I totally grasp the concept of things changing and progressing. You have to admit, regrinding for an item you already have, just to get it again (if you're lucky) seems pointless. Especially if that's a difficult item to get.
The whole rework of everything they've done to this point is mind boggling. I hope for the best, but I can't say I"m totally happy with or understand all the changes.
im good if at least the word was: you only will be able to upgrade your eagle bearer when you reach lvl 40 and at least beat dark hours lvl 40 ONCE to earn blueprint.
but invalidade all our gear and force us to do that screwed raid again? cmon...why i cant at least do Warlords content instead DARK HOURS? why not allow eagle bearer drop on LEGENDARY missions ( chance) for people who actually owns eagle bearer?
refarm isnt the problem, the problem is ubi always just saying "your gear? trash everything lol, farm again because we dont have clues of how loot should be so from times to times and on every content its more easy trash everything and make all those dozens hours that you spend grinding becoming wasted time"
the joy of get a good/exotic item lies on that items be GOOD, if in every patch exotics and all gear will be trashed, why bother in farm?
wich other 3 games do gear reset/wipe in every 3 months? division2 dont have 1 year and have almost 2 or 3 gear changes with loot 2.0 becoming live in 2 weeks. wich other game beat this record? this just shows how devs are clueless about how loot should be.
farm again to upgrade or swap one or two gear pieces for something better its a improvement, trash everything and farm all again in a different metric/stats etc its dont know how develop one game.
some people took 40 or more tries to get eagle bearer, how will be fair make them do dark hours several times again?
those people will like it?
i totally hate dark hours, i beat dark hours 19 times(to get all blueprints and 2 eagle bearer for my two chars) and my best time was 20min, usually i enter when friends need help due someone left, but i HATE dark hours. theres no space to do different things, raid go smooth easily in a specific way and only on that way, raid isnt friendly to skill users.
after get my second eagle, on my will i never want enter on that mission again... and now ubi will force me to do that horror circus again, wheres always at least 2 people get DELTA3 errors, live chat bugs too(many people on same chat, dont know) and when just ONE left, raid become almost impossible to beat unlike any other content
Although I'm looking forward to the expansion and the new content, and although I will certainly play and enjoy Dark Hours at level 40 - I still don't like how everything you previously farmed in this game is being made irrelevant. Game progress equals zero.
Although many people here claim that this is totally normal for loot grinding games and that every game needs and does a reset every once in a while - I still have not read a single example in which game your character or character's gear had to face a complete reset (where for example a new player with 0 hours in the game would have the same gear and power level as player with thousands of hours in the game).
This is in fact a reset that usually comes with a completely new game. With The Division 3. But with being a GaaS that wants to keep players engaging for a long period, you cannot/should not nullify players progress. The "real" GaaS out there just do not do such things. Ask players of "real" MMOs for how long they where allowed to keep, play and develop their characters. In such games expansions also did drop, changes altered the game and the gear, but legacy items and old characters are usually always playable, useful, serviceable. Or can be upgraded, infused, whatever.
Even TD1 did a better job of introducing new more powerful gear that slowly replaced the old gear: normal Gear Sets vs. Classified Gear Sets. The old items remained serviceable, the builds remained serviceable, but there was a huge change, you needed to move on and grind again - but it felt like growing, like boosting one's build. Not like standing in front of shattered remains, having to do everything all over again. Everything. Even good rolls for the Recalibration Library. Even exotics.
There should not be an EB 2.0 locked behind the same crazy RNG as the first one was (I completed about 60 raids and never had an EB drop for me, but I do own it thanks to clan mates) that every EB owner has to farm again. Farming for the same exotic again just isn't cool. Farming for new items, new gear is cool. Farming to reach the same power level you had in the not-so-endgame-after-all again in the now-all-new-second-endgame also is not so cool, if you get nothing out of having played the old endgame.
Perfect!! I also asked at least 3 name games where all your progression was erased and also asked how frequently this happened on any game, because here on division2 its the third reset in less than 6 months but loot 2.0 will be a full reset where all gear will go to oblivion.Originally Posted by Noxious81 Go to original post
