Eagle Bearer 2.0 Please don't do this

I have worries about the changes being made in this game and I'm trying to be patient with the content as it comes out slowly and changes from time to time. Unlike some people here, it took me quite a bit of work with very little luck to gain the items I have. Eagle Bearer was a very big deal for me to attain. In fact, after many runs with a group I'm in that basically doesn't exist anymore, a member who already had gotten an Eagle Bearer allowed me to have his second Eagle Bearer. Now they just want to add another one? So that means you have to get another one and the one you have is useless? There has to be a much better way of doing this.

I imagine if Eagle Bearer 1.0 is becoming a paper weight or just a trophy on the wall, that also goes for all the exotics? Guys, when we said we wanted more content, it didn't mean do everything all over again. This is not going to work. The "suck it up, buttercup" ideal isn't favorable in any way. Please tell me I'm not the only one who sees this as an absolute joke.

How hard can it be to allow weapons to scale up? Surely there is more than one or several better solutions. As much as I love some of the exotics I have, I'd rather see replacements of other better items than a 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, etc. When I played Division 1 it was capped at level 30. I'm not sure how it works now, probably similar to Division 2 where gear score kicks in. I would think if there are exotics in Division 1, there aren't 1.0, 2.0, 3.0s and so on. Maybe there are. I don't know.

When the RNG system failed and the recalibration stations failed because you could only adjust one stat, instead of making it possible to adjust all stats or at least more stats, they scrapped it. Now a bunch of stats will no longer appear on certain pieces. This is already after adjusting the pieces where you can't stack stats any longer. How many changes until we have some consistency?

Look, I like the game for the most part. Good story, nice artwork, decent mechanics, but what is going on at HQ? I don't think I've seen a game change their core system this much and this often. I appreciate the fact they recognize things need to change, but I think they're going about it the wrong way. This EB 2.0 is the epitome of a drastic change that does not favor the player "at all".

I do like some of the changes, but they're the harmless type. New gear, areas, more story, stuff like that. I don't like to think I've spent 1200+ hours working on building my characters to basically start all over again at gear score 500/level 30. I've already lost a group of players over this first year.

Scale the exotics or please replace them with something better (new exotics, not new numbers after the name of items)

They already said that all exotics are being reworked. So it might be better but not as op as it was when it first came out. It might be worse..we won’t know until we play.

Your EB is going to be trash anyway if it isn’t level 40 which is the new Max player cap.

This is the way with any and every expansion to games I’ve played. You have to regained some stuff.

Oh well at least you got it.........i never got myself not for the lack of trying with the amount of keys i got left. I just lost all interest in grinding the raid. To be honest once it got nerfed it was a trash weapon in PVP. Most people only use it for the holstered talent. As for EB 2.0 well good luck with getting that if its RNG based again. A raid should be rewarding not a grind fest.

From what I understand, you will be able to upgrade exotics, just not right away. So save the spare components. You should have the bp, even if the weapon was gifted to you. Just check the vendor near the recal. desk. So players will just have to wait a while before they can upgrade the current exotics. I highly doubt they would make us regrind for an exotic again, especially the EB, that would collectively infuriate the fan base. Thylander even replied to similar question on a Twitter thread and basically said hang on to your spare parts and your old exotics.

I hope you're right. It's not just the Eagle Bearer I was concerned with. Exotics in general are important in my opinion because I think I can say it is most likely the issue that they won't have other exotics to replace them all for a long time. The rest of the guns, named included can be replaced, but will they? If every weapon needs to be replaced by level 40, how many will we have to choose from in each category?

Also, think about the class weapons. Such as the pistols you usually get with Survivalist, Demolitionist, Sharpshooter, etc. Those will most likely scale up automatically by the time you hit 40. So...it would make sense to do the same with the weapons in game, especially exotics or replace all of them with the same variety or greater. To get Chatterbox 2.0 by going through some ordeal and for it to be basically scaled up to level 40 seems silly.

Now an option to earn say blueprints to upgrade your weapons might be reasonable, you shouldn't have the same difficulty you went through to get the item you had to struggle to get before. We'll see I guess.

People need to stop freaking out about not being able to carry over their gear. It's a gear game... based on getting new gear. Their is no way to rework gear if you allow people to drag the old stuff with them.... This is common practice in any serious gear based RPG. Expansions allow for positive changes on a large scale, while giving players new stuff at the same time.

As for TD2 being a "serious" RPG, it's not good when to advance the game, they have to "reset" all gear to keep it fresh and new. Some things need to carried over to a point and not obtain and destroy for everything.
