    DC and the 515

Just a few questions or question marks over DC and the 515 Gear.

Whats going to happen to DC for the 515 gear players,

are we getting a difficulty choice to the open world?

Are missions getting a higher difficulty?

So far for the NY 40 level it's Legendary and Global events plus the various other stuff that's coming.

If nothing is going to happen to DC for those who are not going to buy or haven't bought the DLC yet, WHY add 515 gear score items? and if nothing is going to change i'd rather not have the GS 515 I have builds/weapons already so no need to farm them again for a 15 point GS rise if there isn't anything applicable to/for it.

As for the 40 joining 30s or 500 joining 40's god knows seems the devs are all over the place with that one so far.

From what I've been told, the open world difficulty might be exclusive to expansion owners. I'm not sure about this, though. The same goes for the individual missions.

As many other players already pointed out, nothing is going to happen to the base game, beyond getting the new gear system and a gear score increase to 515. The new narrative content is obviously exclusive to the expansion, as well as all the additional community events and activities, such as Global Events (something I was so excited about getting back into).

As for the rest, take it from Ubisoft itself (https://www.ubisoft.com/en-gb/game/t...-of-new-york):

Travelling back to New York, to hunt down Aaron Keener and his posse of Rogue agents, will start a whole new chapter of The Division 2 for many players - with a whole new endgame, infinite progression system, Seasons and more becoming available at level 40.

For those who choose to stay in D.C., all year 1 content will still be available, along with level 30 versions of Dark Hours (as well as Raid #2, once released) and the level 30 endgame. To minimize the division of the player base, any level 40 player will be able to join level 30 activities with level scaling.

All players, regardless of ownership of Warlords of New York, will continue receiving quality of life changes, in addition to core system improvements, such as RPG 2.0 and improved UI/UX flows.

Aparel Events, Global Events and Seasons are exclusive to owners of Warlords of New York.
In other words, I'm sorry to say that the game will pretty much be dead, to those who won't or can't afford to buy the expansion.

So if there is nothing new no difficulty levels no globals etc etc etc .

Why the fk are they releasing 515 gear into an area that's going to be obsolete.? Seems like a dumb thing to do, heck if i'm going to re-farm everything again to a higher gear score to be playing the exact same stuff (poinless just pointless)

As for locking difficulty levels behind a paywall lol, they could have atleast let us raise the difficulty of the open world for those who either can't afford or don't want the expansion/DLC.

Fking hell if EA/Activision or Bethesda had done this the internet/ytube would be up in arms every day slating them.

I'm also not going to farm any 515 gear or weapons. There's nothing else to do there with those, besides everything we've been doing up until now. I already uninstalled the game from my PS4. I'm sorry, but I just can't accept that community events (such as Apparel or Global Events) get locked behind a paying wall. Those were free for all, in TD1, by the way.

As I said, I'm still not sure about the Open World or the individual missions difficulty settings. It seems that it's all locked behind the expansion, but I'm still not sure. These might still make it to the base game. On the other hand, there's nothing else to do. All my friends have left the game for good and I was the only one left keeping our clan alive.

I've said this before, but I just can't understand why players aren't complaining more about these things being exclusively-tied to an expansion. We're actually seeing a base game being buried alive, and either no one cares or they're all buying into it.

Heck RNG has been so bad for me lol I picked up my first ever 50% DTE mask last night(of course in two weeks DTE is gone lol), oh and 5 days of grind/Farming 1 Exotic (Chameleon) most of my weapons are god rolled that took ages to get, just finished the Savage wolverine this morning, and boom all going to be pointless with the 515 GS raise and for what (again to play the same map with nothing different)

With you on the Global events, it was a fun free addition to TD1 now it's paywalled bad move that.

PS: if they are going to paywall everything then fk em.

Unless there is an open world difficulty setting. then i'll still play. if not then i'll start a fresh in TD1 all over again.

That is not quite correct: https://www.reddit.com/r/thedivision.../wlny_editions

Heroic difficulty on all missions will be available to everyone.

So no open world Difficulty setting, which would have been nice atleast.

Yeah, I finally got my Chamaeleon on Sunday, after days and days of countless Heroic invaded missions, Bounties, other Open World activities, etc, and it wasn't even 500 score. I managed to get a 500 gear score Chamaeleon on Monday, after many additional Bounties. Now, it all feels utterly pointless. With no more Apparel or Global Events available to all players, I prefer to leave. I can't accept that Community Events get paywalled, especially when they were free in the previous instalment of the series. If most of the current player base accept that, then it's fine. I just can't.

Well, I'm sorry but I'm not going to stick around just to farm the 515 gear or weapons, which can be done in a few days, by the way. My main point of contention, are the Community Events, which are exclusively-tied to the expansion. They're dividing the community with the narrative content, which is logical and totally fine. However, in my humble opinion, it's just not acceptable to deny access to the Community Events, to those who can't afford to buy the expansion.

And I still don't see the point in 515 gear, putting heroic in all missions, well we have heroic now in some and it can be done with current gear at 500.

So if a dev is around or community mod can someone please explain the need or idea for Gear score 515 if there is no other changes bar a few extra heroic missions.

Because i'd really like to know. Thanks

If I have to guess, they're just "throwing a bone" to the players that won't be buying the expansion. I also don't see any point.
