Hello,

Can someone explain to me how to get the 4 diamonds on the 180 gear?

Until now, I've only had up to to 2 diamonds and I've upgraded every piece of gear to the max.

Another question, I've seen videos of weapons who "shine" when the character is idle?

I know you can change the look of the weapons but even when I put the highest type of the same weapon, there is never the shiny graphic displayed.

You get max numbers of perks at About gear 160-170! So what is the sence of Gear 180 with 4 Diamonds??

Clearly nobody here knows what it does so I will explain:

Back in the day, the gear system in the game was completely different. Every time you upgraded a piece of gear, you would get a percentage based bonus added to a stat like: revive speed, light damage, heavy damage, stamina recovery, revenge gain, etc... The gear with the diamonds is gear that can be 'Refined'. You can get gear that is capable of 4 refinements (4 diamonds) and you consistently get it around rep 10. The point of this was to allow for legendary gear to be upgrade 10 times instead of 6 like all the other gear. Refinement was ridiculously expensive for how little bonus it gave but it was still a way to further ensure an advantage on your opponents and was really rewarding fr people who main one character for their entire lifetime.

Now, refinement is useless. While it does increase the amount of perk points on your gear, it is impossible to use this to your advantage and squeeze out another perk or get higher level perk combos. DO NOT refine your gear past the 6 times. It is a massive waste of money and only adds the diamonds to your gear stat which lets everyone know that you are a fool who fell for ubis trick

Why no 4th perk when max gear with Diamonds or a 3rd when u got 2 high ones?

Would be nice if Ubi could explain that some days, read this Question many times in different treads.
