Carousel of Fire - another fail for FH@UBI
Now an event is going on at FH - the Carousel of Fire. At first this sounded like an excellent idea - many of us like the Carousel of Death, a game mode that should belong to the game permanently. Yet when you start looking at the new, modified version of this closer, it doesn't seem so cool anymore.
First: space. The Sanctuary arena is a fighting venue compact enough to accommodate 8 characters without sacrificing much to the movement freedom. Yet FH@UBI seems to think the arena is way too huge and the characters can move along too freely. Solution? Put fires and traps everywhere and cut the space by half. It doesn't matter if the new, confined space suits only certain types of characters - most notably the Viking and Knight heroes who doesn't need to move much - at a cost for the rest, most notably the Samurai and the Wu Lin characters who need space for dodging, special moves, etc. Nicely done, FH@UBI! Keep on "balancing" like that!
Second: How to make life on the carousel even more miserable, FH@UBI seems to have thought. Well, make it so that executing is ok only for certain characters - namely those who have short enough executions to escape any possible fire (take e.g. the Raider's "Viking greeting") or incoming attack. It doesn't matter if the rest cannot restore their health by any means - the perks and feats have also been switched off. Again, nice "balancing"!
Third: There's even one more way to make it more "balanced": make it so that when you're close to a fire during an execution, you will be blinded so you cannot see any incoming attacks and prepare accordingly. Perfect! Very honorable indeed!
In a nutshell: FH@UBI has done it again - they've done everything to get you killed, yet nothing to keep you alive.
Why does FH@UBI hate so much certain players (characters), escapes me. But still - keep going. I hope at one point you'll get the "balancing" ad absurdum and see the error of your ways for yourself.
