I've been playing for over 300 hours..with 8008 items looted and I have yet to see an exotic drop..This is VERY frustrating and making me not wanting to play...In D1 after patch 1.7 the drop rate was good..what the hell happened..I mean its sad when I have more success farming for primal ancients (Diablo 3) than getting exotics in this game..You would think by now I would have at least 2-3 exotic drops..but the only exotics I have are the ones you craft...(except for the diamondback which you get after completing Kenley College) and NO the DB is not a drop...How about we adjust the drop rates to the level of D1 when patch 1.7 hit..I mean because I would farm for hours for the Barrett's Chest piece and enjoy the farm..but NOT 300 hours and not a single drop...Come on massive you can do better....
I have logged over 1250 hrs and some weeks i have 3 or 4 exotics drop in a 2 week period. I have almost 4 or 5 of all of them......BUT, i likely logged over 500 hours before the first exotic dropped, and after you have already received one they tend to drop much more frequently. So Keep Grinding and they will come... I also recommend grouping on challenge and even heroic invaded missions with 3 or 4 people. Good Luck
I’ve mainly gotten the exotics you craft or are guaranteed to get from doing specific tasks like the holster and the diamondback from Kenly college. The sawyer knee pads did drop for me whilst grindingly grinding for the Merciless but apart from that nothing. No chameleon after 20+ bounties, haven’t done the raid but with that being RnG on getting the Eagle Bearer I’ll pass on that. Div 1 was far better for exotics, got to end game they dropped regular. Even in caches. This is just pure and utter luck.
This is just pure and utter luck. YES IT IS.Originally Posted by Shady_Maverick Go to original postIf the RNG gods smile on you for a day they treat you well - Last week I had two exotic weapons drop in BACK to BACK in two different missions on invaded challenging in a group of 3 or more.
When you play in a group someone else can share loot with you that dropped for them. There are also a larger number of drops because the number of enemies scale with difficulty and group size.Originally Posted by F5-Shadow Go to original post
I don't think people were getting exotic drops in Division 1 that often. I don't think it ever changed from its assumed 10%, after 1.7 and it's probably still 10% in Division 2. You might be thinking of exotoc caches that guaranteed an exotoc, or the in-map Resistance cache, with its exptic drop increase to 50%, I believe it was.
