Game won't launch on non-steam account

Okay, I originally play through uplay directly with my standard-edition account.
My girlfriend who also uses my pc, has For Honor on steam with starter edition. So that she can play her account, I moved the For Honor files to steam. It downloaded additional files and after that it worked fine. But when I logged off her Uplay account and tried to play For Honor with my account, it didn't work. At first it says downloading direct X then after that the splash screen loads for a bit before closing. The game didn't even launch at all.

The game still works fine as long as I launch it through steam while using my girlfriend's uplay account. But when I want to play my account it doesn't work.

I've tried verifying, re-installing uplay, closing steam, launching the game through the .exe file (it just asks for a key for some reason)

    Hey Jeehee.,

Thanks for reaching out to us and I am sorry to hear about the issue you're experiencing.

I can understand that you are playing via Uplay PC on your account, whilst your girlfriend plays on the same PC however has the game copy purchased via Steam. As it stands, Uplay and Steam are using two different game folders and therefore in order to play the game on your account via Uplay PC, you would need to have your game installed in Uplay game category as well as in Steam, which will essentially take double the space, however should allow you to launch it.

If however I misunderstood something or if your issue persists, please get back to us and we will be happy to look into it further for you!
