So I am sitting on the roof of Auroa hospital. Shot the bag man in the parking lot. Body is eventually found. 10 guys and 2 drones are appropriately enough parked there. Have been for an hour of in game time. Just observing now to see if they EVER call an all clear.
3 hours in game time so I finally just shot one.
Just to be clear, that was the game clock. I may enjoy taking things slow, but I am not gonna sit on a rooftop observing 10 guys for hours unless I was doing Bone Frog's job in real life.Originally Posted by FCacGRdvWD Go to original post
Yep. As it is they aren't particularly threatening at all. The only thing that makes them anymore dangerous is they spawn right near you when the Azrael spots you.(along with a couple drones).Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post

By coincidence tonight I wanted the USP blue print for a new character. It’s in a 150+ Wolf Camp, Red Tiger, on the shore of Lake Clearwater. I’ve done this base at low gear score many times, starting back in the beta. It’s a good test if the AI has changed much. It hasn’t. I start on the opposite side of the lake as I always do. I snipe the radio guy, then the drone, then start picking off wolves like shooting pots off fence posts. In the past, one guy comes after me around the left side of the lake. This time, the same thing. Then after a cooling off period, an additional pair of guys come around after me. I kill one, the second doesn’t radio or anything. I kill him too. No one knows anything. The rest just take cover and wait for me to ping their helmets off. If I don’t have line of sight, I wait a couple of minutes for them to calm down (despite 80% of their friends being dead) and they go back about their business without a care in the world, back out in the open. Easy targets.
This is rubbish AI. Why send only one guy after me? Why not a squad or two? Why not a drone like I have with thermal vision? Why not the equivalent of the Azreal QRF? And after the squad or their drones IDs my location, why isn’t everyone within radio distance descending on my position? And why can only one guy call for reinforcements?... once he’s dead, they’re on they’re own? It’s all childishly easy. Made so small babies can play and win. It’s just ridiculous.
In Wildlands I’d have two vehicles of reinforcements on me and several guys from the base almost immediately, forcing me to break contact or die in one helluva a firefight. You would never see Cartel thugs just hiding. Or send one guy? What if he gets killed? Who would do that? Cmon. This AI is dumb. My crappy little drone out techs them.
I think it would be fine for Wolves since they're supposed to hunt us down and be "elite" soldiers, not to mention they're fairly rare enemies unless you go to their designated camps. I would also like to see Wolves with Active camo and the jammer backpacks get added in as well, like the Los Extranjeros in Fallen Ghosts or Bodark in Future Soldier.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
Yeah, it’s so sloppy. It’s made to be easy. If every time you attacked a Wolf patrol or camp, there was multiple Azreal QRF forces on your a$$, it would be way more challenging. That’s the only challenge on the game really, and the only reason that’s a challenge is the bullet sponge drones that accompany the wolves. It’s pretty sad that to have a challenge, I need to fire off a flare and jump up and down every time an Azreal flys by.Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post
Force me to be careful and punish me if I get sloppy or lazy.
Personally, I think the caller should be able to call in Azreals if they can't find you, or have a call system where he frantically calls which would add Wanted Levels like Wildlands until you kill the caller.Originally Posted by Virtual-Chris Go to original post
So yesterday, I used stealth to take the port in Fen Bog and after a body was discovered, a few of the guys moved to new positions, but just froze there, staring blankly ahead. They don't look around, they don't move, you can walk up right beside them and they won't notice. Their field of view is horrible. Something needs to be done about this.
