It stayed that way until the alert stage went back to normal and then he walked off as if the whole thing was a dream. I am now at a point where i just don't play until the next patch drops and see if that makes any improvement because they last 2 patches royally screwed things for the ai (not that they were any good to start with). I think this the worst i have ever seen them since the ott.
Yeah that happens regularly where they take cover behind something that doesn’t provide adequate cover.

Last night I was in one of the Cold War sniper towers picking off guys. This really reveals the flaws. They try to take cover, but not from elevated threats, leaving them totally exposed.

I also don’t understand why the level designers implemented ladders on many buildings while the AI can’t use them. Did they not realize that the AI would have this limitation? Was the team hopeful they could get the AI to climb ladders but scrapped it?

Yeah, I think this is exactly why Wildlands had no climbable ladders in the first place, since they couldn't get it to work for AI.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one doing that! Stood me in good stead on many an occasion! Man, those freakin' helicopters can be pesky when I'm in a tower and can't jump down because of all the guards clustered around the base! Maybe they'll include "anti helicopter" spray in the immersive mode!

LOL... the towers are not a wise tactical choice, that's for sure. Although they guys can't get to you, you also can't effectively clear the base leaving you in a stalemate.

Your original post was a good read Virtual-Chris and I find it to be a decent explanation, as a possible reason for the AI's behaviour in Breakpoint.

Sometimes they hide, which is not unreasonable if you have no idea where the threat is.

    Prove me wrong.
You are wrong. The real reason is the designers of the AI are notorious campers in PVP. The AI plays how they do.
