Yes you read the header correctly. 2.99 for the base game for a week on the xbox store ,less than a year from release. That is cheaper than both anthem and fallout 76 have ever been available for digitally. Ha that's cheaper than a 20 oz. soda and a candy bar in most places. This move by ubi answers a few questions that have been debated in this forum. 1. Yes this game is in a dire stat (damn near death) 2. No ubi doesn't mind spitting in the eyes of the loyal fan base who paid full price and have been holding on. They sacrifice you in a sad and desperate attempt to stay a float. I was gonna list more and go more in depth but i don't care enough about this game anymore to waste more time on it. I feel for you guys that have been loyal and hope the 2.0 patch fixes the game for you. Though 1 thing is clear ubi doesn't deserve your loyality.
I completely feel you, I held on since TU1, and finally left in TU6 maybe I will come back... but I won't download the game back on my PC until one thing is polished... the DZ. I would sy try Escape from Tarkov, anyway I hope you have a PC, if you do give it a try.
*note the DZ is not a PvP zone, it is a PvPvE zone and anything besides that will not bring me back.
Yes I think that's the logic behind it. Kind of makes sense as a marketing strategy and Massive are a business and not a charity at the end of the day.Originally Posted by moesuvious Go to original post
This is the perfect example of why people shouldn't pre-order or buy full price, especially when Paid DLC (£20.00 to £30.00) per pop comes out for said game down the line.
Buy on release £50.00 to £80.00 + DLC £20.00 to £30.00 a pop total £70.00 to £110.00 spent. (loyal/Veteran players)
Buy now for £2.99 plus DLC say £30.00 and total package £32.99 (new players)
I know which one i'd prefer as a customer![]()
These kind of price levels just shows that A. They are desperate to get more players in the game and generate more revenue. And B. The game was way overpriced in the first place at launch. Give you a clue what you should do with DLC and Year 2 content, just wait long enough and you'll get it practically for free.
Plus the people who were day 1 paid almost 20x more and get to play the worse version of the game for a year. The loyal come here and give their feedback and suggestions which ubi says they hear and are listening to. Though what will the loyal get for it? Nothing. If the leak is true about the dlc, they won't even get a head start. A day 1 player who get's the dlc can instantly hit lvl 30. Your builds you put all your time in are gonna be close to useless. On top of all that the loyal who spent at least 60 ( not including deluxe or legendary) will still have to spend more cash. With in a few days from dlc launch a guy who spent 150 bucks could be standing next to a new guy who spent 33 (considering dlc is 30$) running the same missions with competitive builds. I get some say it's business but still feel it's a spit in the eye to the loyal.
