I thought It was a joke how they spent the whole state of game going through the story Line without providing us a date of Tu7. I haven’t picked up the game in a month. No point. Why farm useless gear? Also not excited to pvp knowing that all the builds will change. Why are the devs so slow? A lot of us paid 100 dollars for the full dlc. Why can’t the devs hold up there commitment to keeping the player base happy. Especially when a lot of us paid more than the 60 dollars for the game. It’s disgusting
I hope you realize that Gear 2.0 is not coming with TU7/Episode 3.Originally Posted by GOITCH Go to original post
Have you worked in software development? Fundamental changes to the game like Gear 2.0 have a massive impact on all parts of the game. That requires a big re-balancing effort, in addition to the work they need to do on new content for Year 2.Why are the devs so slow?'
As the devs themselves have said, there's nothing wrong with playing another game until these changes are released.
Because the player base consists of multiple conflicting sub-groups. Some want more new content, some want PvP improved, some want a single DZ, some want Gear 2.0, others want the return of Survival. It's not possible to please all of those folks simultaneously. Why can’t the devs hold up there commitment to keeping the player base happy
I wouldn't count on that. There's no way to tell if that email was genuine.Originally Posted by xcel30 Go to original post

As to why no date was given, my suspicion is because of the third party license agreements. It's a constant back and forth negotiation, and they don't want to confirm a date if Microsoft or Sony might not deliver.
Indeed. Usually when they give YouTubers early access, they let them record footage on events, or on location closed offline test servers. It would be a first if they do it with an online private test server, as far as I know.Originally Posted by dagrommit Go to original post
There are probably many players that felt the same as you OP... and i totally understand that.
Thing is.. there are also a good number of players i imagine that have been waiting to hear when the story line will conclude.. since Division 1 ended.
Hopefully the next few SOTGs will give us more insight to the direction of the game after Eps 3.
I would personally like to hear more about Year 2 at this point... since it sounds like we MIGHT get the chance to kill Keener.. but let's say we don't..and Aaron Keener gets away... what does that mean for Division 2.. TU7,8,9..etc?...
not a single SOTG i have heard since i have been around this game was focused on the lore..Originally Posted by J_Tokyo_Rogue Go to original post
but every SOTG has been deemed a waste by somebody.. so the bugs will always be around..
doesn't matter what they do to the game.. some1 will find a fault.. is this not true for you too?
It's not that one is more important than the other.. we all know the existing issues..
I never watch any SOTG anymore simply because the few that I have seen where actually quite hilarious. I don't think the producers and participants are aware of this but if you look at their body language it tells you so much more than what is actually being said. There was one episode where they included some folks from Red Storm and in that one it was pretty obvious they didn't really care or meant what they said. At that point I decided that I also don't really care what they talk about, I just wait and see what ends up in the game. So far I am not really that impressed by any of it and when reading some of the release notes I always as myself, is that all or did they just not write down all changed. Because if those are all modification it sure is pore after having spent so much time on whatever it was between the updates. But that doesn't apply to this game only.
As for the bugs, there is a thin line between including new parts to existing software and fixing bugs. Some companies prefer to fix bugs first for better overall quality. Others only want to include more stuff in order to make more sales. I do prefer to have it the first way as senior software developer. Why, because everything you add will inherit the problems that are already there in many cases. In the past I did some development on software included in chips, and finding a bug meant that all production up to that point had to be scrapped. But unfortunately in the gaming industry they can easily get away with not fixing any of the bugs. They can just keep on including more content to sell as opposed to 'real life' businesses that also use software. If you think this is not true, as Boeing.
