depends on what game we are talking about, pre ordering is always a risk, no matter who publishes or developes the game you want to pre order so as i said depending on the specific game i still might pre order it.

    An Ubisoft game? .....me neither.

Ubi killed off the FC franchise for me with FC5, AC with their releases after Black Flag, TD with their constant tweaking (for the worst) of TD2 including optimization issues months after the games release and GR with GRB.

I actually found I have zero interest in Watch Dogs now as well. GR is the last of their franchises I play that I might abandon as well depending on what direction they decide to go with their changes and the next iteration.

That is a decision I already made as well. I will wait till I review everything before opening my wallet and for sure I will never buy a game that is multiplayer ONLY to play extra missions or DLC.

I also NEVER EVER buy a game from this company pre-sale again. And I am never going to pay full price for their games either. I Payed over 100€ pre-sale because I trusted their promises and words and got nothing that equals this value.

Buying full priced Ubisoft games again, would be the same as saying: Ubisoft you can continue on this path. They are very bad at customer service, the do not refund or compensate when they break their promises. Their marketing and sales departments lie to people and promise content that cannot be delivered.

The only way they will have to improve, is by losing sales. But I doubt that they do understand how much more money they could have made consistently if they would deliver true AAA high quality games.

The Five AAA titles they promise to release 2020-2021, is also marketing talk. I learned my lessons, and will not pay full price for any of them until it is completely proven and sure the quality of this titles is as promised and high enough to earn my money.

If every one would do like me, they would have to make sure high quality is achieved.

I always pre-ordered since I believe in the last 8 years from Ubisoft. The Division 1 & 2, The Crew 1 & 2, Ghost Recon Future Soldier, Wildlands, and Breakpoint. After the release of The Crew 1 and The Division 1, I say that was the last time I seen good quality put into the Ubisoft games I played. The sequel supposedly successors to those games not only didn't carry over the same content but to a backstep for lack of content compared to the first game.

We talking from missing modes of the pvp in The Crew 2 that's only just racing from point A to point B. Sure it has demolition derby but the first game had several modes. Hold the crown, capture a location, elimination, and so on. It lacks PvE content compared to the first as well. Same with The Division 2. It doesn't have survival mode, last stand 8v8, underground missions, darkzone player count reduced to the point it seems smaller than the first game, and so on... GR started lacking content since GRAW2 but GR Future Soldier had different modes and not the same one type of mode. Wildlands had the same type of modes until they released mercenaries mode. Breakpoint is still young but I don't see any of our ideals as a community being considered in they plans at the moment.

So Ubisoft just seem like they have us blocked to implement ideas. Sure Call of Duty has everything such as tactical/casual modes and cross-play. What Ubisoft going to do on they next game? Implement a structure call of duty designed in 2019 to the next GR meanwhile call of duty has a new and better structure. What could Ubisoft do to keep up. Hmm.... How about listening to us. Give us the variety of PvE and PvP content. Add cross-play as an option among players. Give us a better dedicated server.

The icing on the cake will be giving us what we asked for. Story editor, map editor, custom lobby pvp settings in the golden days. This will make a game a AAA. Ubisoft being a lone wolf and not implementing the pack(community) suggestions is going to burn you. You can't be a alpha if you don't have your pack to support you. All in all in Ubi current state pre-order is out of the question at least until I feel our suggestions are part of the game.

I MIGHT give Watch Dogs Legion a chance because I respect Clint Hocking as a developer, but I'm still not super excited for it. Other than that, I'm burned out on Assassin's Creed (and I don't like the MMO tiered loot direction) and while I enjoyed FC 5, I don't enjoy it as much on subsequent playthroughs (I still like FC 2,3 and 4 even after all these years), and the tiered loot direction on New Dawn had me worried for FC 6 as well.

So yeah, for the foreseeable future, I think I'm done with Ubisoft. They need to quit with this grindy MMO tiered loot **** and generic open world game design before I consider buying another game from them. Which is sad, because I used to like the as a developer until their greed got the better of them.

I hated all the far cry games after instincts as i prefer gameplay where you just keep it simple, fc2 was an ugly dull game, getting malaria sucked, then they introduced the boring tower unlocking crap and crazy villains, getting captured, escaping and lots of qte's. fc 3 and 4 were downgraded loads from what they showed off at e3. i skipped 5 and onwards, didn't compelte 4 because i got bored with it.

the division sucked from the start with the bullet sponge enemies and heavy grinding.

at least the assassin's creed series takes you somewhere vastly difference in each sequel, sure the gameplay is basically the same each game and yes it gets repetitive but story wise, those games don't seem to suffer from terrible acting, writing and plots like far cry and breakpoint.

i think if i had to choose between far cry, the div, current ghost recon and assassins creed, i pick AC.
