Shinobi is flat out unplayable. Does his win-rate have to be 0% before you care?

Seriously? You couldn't even take the time to fix the stamina pause on his deflect, but you happily removed the ONE thing shinobi had left that made him playable? The dev team has become a laughing stock at this point. They seems to find ways to make the game less enjoyable every season. Even the start of the new year, which should be a big thing, was a complete disaster. The only thing exiting you had to show was a new way for you to make money from the game. You expect people to stick with this game for another 6 years, when you refuse to put any effort in?

Yes, this one character being a rare case of oopsie is the downfall of other 98% of content the game has.

While I generally agree with you about the devs, in this case, you are not right.

Shinobi is a disgusting staller turtle, who is completely ruining the fun you might find in the game in a duel. Try to attack him? Half your hp is gone in one deflect. 29 damage on a heavy parry, 40 on a light parry or guardbreak. And he is mostly out of your range. Good zone optionselect, and until this time an almost unbeatable charged optionselect, until the well deserved summer nerfs, completely unpunishable superarmor moves. His entire existance was dependent on being irritating and stopping others playing the game, he never had tools to play the game, he just made it so frustrating that you just let yourself killed and moved to the next opponent. I think I actually chose pk as my ultimate main because during season 2 when that little b came out, almost nobody else had tools to punish his stupid kick-backflip. The entire character was built on a horrible design, especially if we consider he was modelled after a legendary (and by legendary, here I mean unreal) assassins, and even a Naruto fight takes less time than a fight took between a shinobi and anyone without attacks capable of beating his bs superarmor. He is a fundamentally horribly made character, it is a good thing he is less and less horrible, just weak.

I really think they should make a shinobi rework asap, but until then, this state is better than whatever was before. OP tools can't be justified by the rest of the hero's kit.

    Tl'dr:

Less of the current shinobi=an objectively better and healthier game

While this is a true statement, another true statement is the fact Shinobi winrate in duels by competitive players is 35%, the lowest of them all. So you can bash anything you want about what he had working for him in his kit, you can debate if it was broken or what not ... the fact remains, he still have the lowest win rate of all the heroes and that nerf probably brtings him to 25-30% winrate.

Shinobi reflects how competent the dev team is at doing anything well.

Faction war : a joke since day 1
Feats : completely unbalanced for years
    etc.

The one big FLAW in the Ubisoft's team at the moment is very, very poor game designers.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TLDR for my french buddies at Ubisoft Montreal :

"Vos game designers ne sont pas les pogos les plus dégelés de la boîte !!"

They'll get the reference. (Manon Massé)

Firstly, you're using the stats from full population for Shinobi. Calling that "competitive players" is incredibly false. Shinobi's win rate in ranked is 42%

Secondly, even if you were to state that Ranked duel is "competitive" you'd still be wrong. Ranked duel is not competitive nor is it a representation of competitive level play. It is casual matchmaking but with the function of seeing your actual MMR rating switched on for the player. Ubisoft does not publish stats for competitive play, they never have.

Finally, using Ubisoft's win matrix to try and gauge the state of balance does not work because of the very flawed method of how those statistics are compiled. Unless you want to tell me that Shugoki is in the top 3 duelists in the game and needs nerfs while Warden, Beserker and Shaman being amongst the bottom duelists means they need major buffs.
