I havent played Division 2 since maybe half a year. but i descided to come back because i left the game right when i got level 30 and the black tusks invaded. i havent seen all this so i wanted to check it out.
Well i basically cant, because the performance is absolutely horrible. i havent changed my system since January 2019 but i remember the game running smoothly before that. no i get a crash nearly every session, game freezes for 1-2 seconds and then speeding up again, FPS drops and all that.
Is it just me or is anybody else having such a horrible experience?
I really wanted to give this game another go, but with such a bad performance, i simply cant enjoy it as i did before.

Can you try the steps in this FAQ?
I would also advise trying a clean boot, as if your game worked fine before, it might be a software conflict or a program taking more resources than it needs.
Its not related to any other software, program, browser opened at the same Time as Division 2 (i also watched movies and youtube the last time i played the game on my second screen and everything was fine). got the newest drivers from Nvidia and my PC has pretty good specs (i7-8700, RTX 2070, 32GB DDR4 RAM, M2 SSD and so on, so its not my system)

Sounds like crazy thermal throtling. Have you tried opening and cleaning pc from dust? Year is bunch of time you know, there may be even a "hedgehog" of dust in there on cpu radiator, or gpu.Originally Posted by DaMaizmO Go to original post
I clean my pc once a month. this would be the first time since i became a gamer that my "Dirty" PC is related to performance problems in a video game. never has a pc of mine been this dirty to actually affect performance of a gam.
I made a clean installation of windows but that didnt help either. now i even get whole system freezes for like 3-4 seconds..... performance is getting even worse

For me this started yesterday.
First, for almost 24 hours, I had connection problems: "Tom Clancy's The Division 2 services are not available at this time. Please try again later. ECHO-06".
Then, after I manage to start the game, after some time, it started to freeze, lag, stutter and crash. Also, first a couple of times I played the game, I had huge FPS drop - from 115 to 40 FPS.
Now, with lagging, freezing, stuttering and constantly crashing, I notice also increase in GPU temperature for some 20 degrees Celsius (ºC) and GPU utilization and GPU Fan.
Sometimes game crashes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 1 hour, but I'm having other problems more and more.
Couple of days before, everything was OK. After last patch update problems started. In the meantime I didn't change anything in the game settings or in GPU software settings, no new installed software...
I bought the new PC before one moth and I had none problems with the game 'till now.

RAM: G. Skill 16 GB Kit (2x8 GB) Ripjaws V DDR4 3200MHz
