This is how it is currently for me. I have it as OTS in settings but I do manually change it to 1st person when needed by pressing RS. If I leave it as 1st person and no longer aim by letting go of LT, if I were to then aim again (press LT) it will show as I left it (1st person) rather than toggling back to my default I selected in the settings (OTS). To get back to OTS, I need to then manually press RS.

My expectation of how this system should work, and what I'd like it to do if this is currently not the case, is this:

    Default setting = OTS

I aim and the default view setting is chosen no matter how I left it before when coming out of aiming = OTS

If I left it as 1st person when aiming last time, if I aim again, it should default back to OTS.
Well then it is working more less as designed I guess. You do have the default setting until you manually change it. It is a toggle, not a temporary switch. It changes how you aim, until you decide to change it back. That is exactly the way how it works with my game. I have to say that I prefer it like this, having TPS on when I start the game and switch the ADS mode when needed to first person and back all manually, without the game reverting it by itself. For me it would be quite annoying since you cannot move while being prone and if you want to reposition just a little, you would always have toggle again. Maybe they will add an option for this.

Unfortunately that's what I thought so an option to always revert to the specified view when you go to aim would be nice in a future patch.

I actually quite like not being able to move when prone and aiming as I feel it's more realistic. I mean, who can aim that we'll while moving prone? Quite difficult. However I understand the option I'm asking for could be an annoyance for those who love prone sniping.

Hey, they've added a lot of options for Breakpoint which I am really impressed about so maybe they can add more regarding this to cater to all and not negatively impact anyone.

    In fact this setting
    gameplay/aiming and camera/aiming/default aiming mode
is completely useless and don't work
anyway u put the default aiming mode on any position (iron sight or over the shoulder) when u ADS in FPS or TPS u will stay on last position that u were
    PLS FIX THIS UBISOFT

That’s not a problem, that’s how it’s supposed to be and that’s logical as well.

    It's a real problem
The following setting that i said don't work
When u put DEFAULT AIMING MODE on over the shoulder, the camera in any situation should back to over the shoulder aiming mode
I think it's simple and as i remember this problem was in wildlands but the difference is this setting was not in wildlands

I completely agree and that's exactly how it should be. Regardless of what you set it to during gameplay and leave it at, it must be back to what you set it to in the settings. If not, then what is the purpose????
