Issue with FPS between ubi accounts for Rainbow Six Siege

    Hi

I have been having issues with fps when playing Rainbow Six Siege.

For some reason I am able to get over 200 fps during an r6 game on one account on my PC but am not able to get more than 85 fps on the other.

I am using the same PC and monitor - I have also used the same in-game settings on each account with no change in performance.

    Anybody have any ideas ??

I've heard about this from my playmates. Very odd if account determines your FPS.

Hey KntckyFrdClutch! My apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused by this FPS difference. Rainbow Six Siege is optimized to run at 60 FPS, so I'm glad to hear that both accounts are meeting that at least. While we cannot provide full support for running the game past what it is optimized to run at, perhaps you could try verifying the game's cache to see if that makes any differences!

    Ever find a resolution?

Did anyone ever find a resolution to this?

    Hey there,

    Welcome to the Forums Sircles!

As above, the game is optimized to run at 60fps.

May we know what FPS range you're looking to achieve as well as any troubleshooting you may have already tried?

    Thank you!

Hey, I have an RTX 2080s & i7-8700k. I have 2 accounts. My main gets 200-240 Fps and my 2nd account gets a solid 300 -380 easily and rarely drops lower than 300.

Thank you for your message including the range you achieve.

As advised previously the game is optimized for 60fps so it is great to hear you comfortable achieve this. Have you tried verifying the games cache as UbiKoality suggested?

    Many thanks

    what ubi wont tell you

I'm willing to bet anyone getting more frames on one account more than another are getting the better results on a newer account. When you have a high level account you'll more than likely have more uplay friends, skins, charms, etc. All of those things have to load in. Thats why your main is getting poor fps. I have every elite and hundreds of skins/charms on my main and it runs terrible. I have 3 alts and they all run much better. They barely have any skins on them

    Hey, ExcessiveMayo!

This seems rather strange but I can see the logic behind it. What sort of FPS were you getting on the new account and old account? Was this on the same PC? If so what are the specs of this PC?

Hey tarkhuna, thanks for getting in touch and I am sorry to hear you're having this issue.

As it stands, your in-game settings are tied to your Ubisoft Account and not the computer, therefore I would advise you to ensure that you have the exact same settings on both accounts and issue should no longer persist.

You will be able to locate your GameSettings.ini file in your Documents (C:\Users\CurrentUser\Documents\My Games\Rainbow Six - Siege\) and you can check both files for both of your accounts which will allow you to also see if settings match.

If that doesn't solve the issue, try deleting your GameSettings.ini for both accounts.

In case if problem is still there, you can also try resetting your save files which will also reset situations, loadouts and in-game settings, however for this one, I would recommend you to back those files up first before completely removing from system, in case if that doesn't help to resolve this.

Keep us updated and should you have any further questions, let us know!
